All over the web I am seeing Giants mock drafts with a RB as our first rounder.
Unless Jacobs has a shocking year or Darren McFadden is available whenever we pick there is no chance we go RB.
We will take the best available from Long, Baker or Richardson when we are on the clock. We may go RB in round 2, but I reckon OLB with Strahan likely to call it a day at the end of this year and Kiwi may move back to DE, plus Pierce needs a natural stud next to him for this defense to really get going.
The loss of Tiki Barber is going to kill the giants. Eli really needs to step up, and Jacobs needs to prove he can be a workhorse. If not I see the Giants getting a Rb, and possibly a qb.

You really must be kidding yourself if you think we are gonna go for a QB. We gave up 4 picks for him and a 5 year extension. Not to mention guys like David Carr and Tim Couch got longer than 3 seasons as starters and done worse.
Ok bottom line is Eli is a choke, he was a choke in college he chokes in the big games in the pros. He's just like his father. I live in NY by the way, I like the Giants Im not a hater, but I know Eli is not the answer.
I don't necessarily think the Giants will go RB in round 1. I do think they have to draft a RB in round 2 or 3 though if they don't address that need in round 1.
Otherwise, I think the Giants have a big hole at LT and they need some stability at LB.

1. Barry Richardson T Clemson 2. Felix Jones RB Arkansas 3. Eric Ainge QB Tennessee 4. Geno Hayes OLB Florida State 5. Mike Jenkins CB South Florida 6. Peyton Hillis FB Arkansas
I say their draft should look like this, or at least similar.
Richardson fills the void left by Petitgout. Eli will get sacked a lot this year. Jones fills Tiki's void. Ainge can compete with Eli, who sucks in my opinion. All he has is the name. Hayes fills the OLB void when Kiwanuka moves do DE. Jenkins adds young depth to their secondary. Hillis will lead the way for Jacobs and Jones for years.

I don't understand why everyone thinks Felix Jones is going to commit to next year's draft. He could be the #1 RB in 2009!
Anyways that is getting OT. I like the pick of Ainge in round 3...Hills is going to go somewhere in round 5 imo.
