Walt, after looking at all of your predictions from the year. I thought you liked the Packers, and Ravens. But after our quirrel over the NFC East I'm starting to believe that you feel a need to put the Eagles high so everyone in Philly will be happy campers! How after seeing this will you say that McNabb to Owens is better than Testaverde to Johnson? It is unbelievable to me. After seeing MNF and well, you didnt see KC but I did and let me tell ya this team wont lose to Philly. We will burn their D so bad well probably score over 40 in both contests, while Roy, Darren, and Newman all 3 wont allow that deep ball that that kid from Baltimore did. However Hunter might but TO doesnt go to the Right Side. And that is where Hunter is so unless he moves. Dallas wont lose.

If you read my predicitions and season previews from 2003, you would know that I am not a homer in the slightest. I didn't think the Eagles were good enough to make the playoffs last year. Now, learning from my mistakes, I see that Philly, much like the Chiefs and the Colts, can be successful in the regular season, but will lose in the postseason due to a sub par defense. Check the playoff predictions - I have the Eagles losing in the second round.

I did. But I just cant believe that you who believes Defense is everything sees Dallas who has a great D losing to Philly who has a terrible D. It doesnt make any sense that you would pick that. You pick the Chiefs because no team in their division has that great of a Defense. But not the same case for Philly.

just out of curiosity, when was the last time that dallas swept philly? even during the cowboys' dynasty years, i seem to recall the eagles usually splitting the series. i could be wrong on this... i really don't know where to go for this kind of stuff.

Do you remember the year Dallas went 8-0 in the East. The East was a very soft division back then, but Dallas went 8-0 in the East in 1998, Chan Gailey's inagural season. I was rooting for that guy. He was nice he is just better fitted for College than Dallas. But he did a hell of a job with that team. We probably would have made the Playoffs in 2000 if we kept him.

I don't think Dallas has a great D. It's better than the Eagles' defense, but it is not great because I believe they'll have trouble rushing opposing quarterbacks, and their cornerback situation is shaky. Also, defense doesn't matter as much in the regular season. In the postseason, it does.

Wow. Weve done better against yall than I remembered. I thought I recalled the Eagles sweeping us in 93 but I guess I was wrong.

P.S

I think your predictions are much more fair and balanced now. But, still Walt we wont be looking ahead to the game against Philadelphia. Trust me. Noone here in Dallas are very concerned with the Eagles, we think they will be a pushover (I dont but everyone else does). And Bill isnt either. Last year we lost to the Eagles because we already marked it as a "W". Think about it. They are better on the road than they are at Home. We beat them in Dallas so we should beat them in Philly, thats what we though but they caught us by surprise. I really think Philadelphia wasnt a great team last year. The Cowboys could have beaten the Packers in Dallas if everything went are way like it did Philadelphia. And I think we could have beaten Carolina if we were in Irving. That game in Philly made all the difference last year. If we would have won we would have won the East and would have had a bye. So in the Playoffs. Seattle loses in Carolina, Philadelphia loses to the Packers. We beat Panthers at home, Packers beat Rams. We beat Green Bay in Texas we go to the Super Bowl. It would have been that Super Bowl. Of course New England would have embarrased us, but still. So we beat Cinci. And I am surprised that even after I told you Favre is 1-9 against us you still have hte Packers winning. We will either be 13-3 or 14-2 this year.

Sure, Dallas is 9-1 against Green Bay, but did you know that every single meeting took place in Dallas? Except for one... and the Packers won in Lambeau 45-17. It makes a lot of sense because Brett Favre can't play in domes, so naturally, he'll have lots of difficulty winning in Dallas.

Maybe I'm wrong and you guys won't lose to Cincinnati, but every year, doesn't a team lose a game they shouldn't? Even New England last year, they lost to Washington.

The '85 Bears didnt. This Dallas team is no '85 Bears I was just making a witty comeback. But, anyway I took that into consideration when I had Dallas losing to Philadelphia.
