It appears that as Walt predicted, Miami's new Quarterback is AJ Feeley. After Miami was down 17-0 against Tennessee, AJ was put in and has just scored a Touchdown. It looks like a new era in Miami, but it hasnt officially happened yet.

AJ Feeley isn't the most talented quarterback in the world, but he's certainly more talented than Fieldler. Most importantly, he's a winner. I think Miami can beat Cincy next Sunday.

I wouldnt go that far, Walt. I think your jumping off the deep end like you did with St. Louis and Arizona. But, I think now instead of 3-13 they will be 5-11 or 6-10.

I don't see why Miami couldn't beat Cincy. The Bengals have the worst defense in the NFL, which means Feeley and the Fins will be able to score points against them. Miami has a great defense and will shut down Palmer. The better defense and the points (+4½)? You have to go with Miami.

Miami cant score on Cinci because I know you love AJ Feeley, but he is not prepared yet. He is a little rusty, and I think the Miami Defense is overrated. Jason Taylor, and Zach Thomas are over the hill. I think Cincinnati will win the Offensive battle, and Special Teams battle. It will be 31-21 Cinci.

The Titans only scored 17 on Miami. I think this game is something like 13-10.

Feeley will be getting a full week of snaps so that should take some of the rust off.

Thats becuase Tennessee is built around defense. Cincinnati is an Offensive team maybe it will be more like 21-10, though.

Do you really think Cincinnati's offense is better than Tennessee's? If so, where? The Titans have the better QB and offensive linemen. I'd give the WR edge to Cincinnati and I'd say that Chris Brown and Rudi Johnson are about even.

Rudi Johnson is much better than Chris Brown in my oppinion. Rudy Johnson has proved to me that he is an NFL Runningback. I think Chris Brown needs some work. But the question wasnt who has a better offense between Tennessee and Cincinnati (even though I do think Cincinnati has a better Offense) I think both teams are leaps and bounds ahead of Miami. Plus your not factoring in that Tennessee was in Miami, and Miami is in Cincinnati.

PS The more I see Eddie George the more I think Jerry Jones should sit back and let Parcells do everything. I feel sorry for Eddie George in the respect that he will be no use to us, and with the way Jerry Jones treated Landry, I have to believe he will be much less classy with excusing Eddie George. I really believe he would have been much better off had he stayed with the Titans who respected him and had loyalty to him. We know he has accomplished alot, but we really are disrespectful of him here and I now believe he would have been much better off had he stayed in Nashville. Because lets be honest we dont care anything about him here.

A.J. Feeley was in a similar situation in 2002. Absolutely nothing around him but a good defense on the other side. Feeley went 5-1. He is a winner and you're about to find out tonight.

I agree, there was no reason to add Eddie George to the Cowboys. Even the Titans' offensive line was happy to see him go.

You will see tonight that youre going off the deep end just like with Arizona at St. Louis.

Given what Feeley had to work with, I thought he did pretty well. But, it is clear that Miami has the worst offensive line in the NFL. On every single play, two or three Bengals would get through in only a couple of seconds. No quarterback could perform well under that kind of pressure. But, the Dolphins covered 5½ which is what I care about most.

Walt, AJ Feeley is good but if he was as good as you raved about him he could have done it.

PS I really feel bad for the Dolphins Defense. They allowed only 9 points against an explosive Cincinnati Offense, and they still lost. You can't do much better than that. So I really feel for them.

As a quarterback, if two or three defenders are breathing down your neck before you can take your three or five step drop, you can't really do much.

If the Dolphins keep playing like this, the Miami D will fall apart by November. They can't keep doing this every single week.

Im really not a fan of the West Coast Offense, but I believe that it would suit Miami best, if they installed it. So they will have more quick passes, and such. Usually I wouldnt recommend it, but I would install it for the year in this situation, and improve the O-Line, then re install whatever Offense they run now, at the begginning of next season. Or pull off a trade for someone good.

The problem with installing it is that it takes a long time to learn. A.J. Feeley knows the West Coast Offense but no one else on that team does.

True, but this is a rebuiding year for them anyway. If there is a year to do it, this would be the year.

That's a good point. The problem that Dave Wannstedt may have with installing it is the fact that he probably won't be back to use it in 2005.

Yeah, but he could think he installs the West Coast Offense, theyre 0-2 so they cant do worse then theyre doing right now, what does he have to lose?

Dave Wannstedt is an idiot. I watched last night's game. The best players on Miami's offense are Randy McMichael, Chris Chambers and Marty Booker. Let's run up with the middle with Leonard Henry 25 times.

Noone is arguing with you. He and Mike Martz are fighting for the most overrated coach in the league. Some call them genuises, I call them fools. Wouldnt you think the West Coast Offense would suite Miami perfectly. Weak running game, short passes to be an affective running game it makes absolute sense.

It makes too much sense for Wannstedt to comprehend.

Youre probably right. Just like it made too much sense for Mike Martz to try and throw short passes and use his TWO timeouts on trying to win the game. I say he had as good a chance to win or lose the game there that he had in overtime. You could say your worried about an Interception anytime, even in Overtime. Then if your at midfield, in overtime you dont pass because your worried they will get an Interception and only need 20 yards to be in Field Goal range. Mike if you think your Quarterback will throw an interception while the biggest game of your year is on the line, then get a new quarterback, dont play to lose. But of course it made "too much sense" for him.

You're totally right. They should both be fired.

Yeah. And I admire it (in some situations) to go for two rather than play for ovetime, I know you agree because of reading some of your stories. I admire it, if you cant stop the other team and you are almost positive they will score if they win the toss. Go for two, to try and make it that their Offense cant get beck on the Field. Like the Colts/Panthers game last year. The Panthers had trouble stopping the Colts. If My team scores just before the end of regulation, so it is 34-35 Colts lead. I would go for two so the Colts have no shot of winning it in OT, their defense would have to win it for them. However if I were the Colts I would have kicked the Point after, because the Panthers Offense was struggling. Do you see what I mean?

I don't think I'd ever go for two in that situation. If the 2 point conversion failed, the coach who attempted it would be under a lot of scrutiny. If it's 35-35, that means the Colts couldn't stop the Panthers either; what if Carolina won the toss?

They couldnt stop them in the first half. In the second half the Colts dominated. So Colts should kick the extra point because momentum is going their way so they will probably win in Overtime. But if you win the toss you are assured the win. Tony Dungy made the right decision in that case. And I think John Fox would have made the right decision too.
