I thought something like this would be fun. Each week, we pick one of the top five underdogs (according to the spread) to win outright. We keep track of everyone's predicted wins.
This week's candidates are:
MIAMI DOLPHINS at Patriots (-13).
OAKLAND RAIDERS at Colts (-9).
ST. LOUIS RAMS at Seahawks (-7).
DETROIT LIONS at Falcons (-7).
BUFFALO BILLS at New York Jets (-7).
Yikes. Out of those five, my choice would be Buffalo. Since there are only 5 choices, people can select the same team.
Since we can pick the same Im going with Detroit also. Thats the only logical one. In my picks my upset special was Tennessee in Green Bay but I guess we cant pick that one.
Good Idea, Ive never heard of this before, this is as fun as the Eliminator. By the way do yall watch Inside the NFL. All of them got eliminated in Week 2 except for Peter King (Sports Illustrated), so he won in Week 2.
It used to be a real good football show. But Bob Costas joined the crew and now its really crappy. It is more of a documentary show on the players's lives. I dont give a damn about the players I just want to see the games and Collinsworth, Cris Carter, and Marino's picks I hate what Costas and Peter King are doing with this show.
Yeah, from the one show I've seen, they did that and I didn't like it. I wish there was one show that previewed every single game in detail. Maybe I'll eventually start an internet radio show like that, but I have to learn how to do that stuff first.
You need to get Digital Cable, dude. On ESPNEWS, every Friday at 8PM my time, 9PM your time they have "Football Friday". 15 minutes of the college football guys previewing most college games, about 45 minutes of Merril Hodge, Hank Goldberg, Ron Jaworski, Chris Berman, Michael Irvin, Joe Theismann, John Clayton, Mike Golic, Eric Allen, Mike Ditka, Chris Mortensen, and stupid Sean Salisbury talking about the next week in the NFL sharing their picks, and making eliminators. You would be in Heaven. And there is "NFL Monday Morning Quarterback" which is just Ditka, Allen, and Trey Wingo making their picks from 11 to 3 my time, 12 to 4 your time, and their power rankings, plus about 16 coaches press conferences.
I'll have to check it out. I don't have Digital Cable at Penn State but I do have ESPNews. I'll watch tomorrow night. I wish they would have a football handicapper on that panel who would talk about significant trends and stuff like that.
