I'm in California and get a rash of crap for my love of the Steelers...

Is it me or are they underated? Furthermore, is it their easy schedule that makes them 4-1 at this time of the year?

Gotta love a Steeler fan from California who's saying screw it --- and going to Cleveland Nov. 14th to watch the Steelers and Clowns, errrr.......Browns.

At the start of the season, I never would have envisioned the Steelers with a 4-1 record, but Ben Roethlisberger has looked incredible. They are legit, despite their soft schedule thus far.

I have to agree with Walt. Steelers have not been high on my list but if they beat Baltimore just once then bet your bottom dollar they will be in the playoffs. Grant you not very far but they will be the Ravens of '04. Ben Roethlinsberger should bring a trophy to Pittsburgh soon. Because right now he definetly looks like a Pro-Bowler. Look out TB, there is another savior in Pitt. Big Ben looks better than Eli Manning right now and I bet hes better than Phillip Rivers.

There are some Steelers fans on my floor, and a sign on one of their doors says "lets change Pittsburgh to Roethlisbergh."

Its amazing how a first year, Roethlisberger is better than about 85% of the NFL. Lets see, better than Fiedler and Feeley, Bledsoe, Boller, Palmer, Garcia, Leftwich, Carr, Collins and Gannon, Brees, Plummer, Green, Vinny, McNabb,  Brunell, Warner, Grossman and whoever is starting for Chicago now, Harrington, Brooks, Griese and Simms and Johnson, Bulger, McCown, and Dorsey and Rattay. That is 27 Quarterbacks that have started at one time this year that he is better than. That is pretty amazing that a rookie comes in and trumps 27 other starters.

How can you say Ben Roethlisberger is better than Donovan McNabb? He has thrown for 1168 yards, 9 TDs and 1 INT. He has improved his accuracy. Roeth. is nowhere near McNabb right now. I would also disagree with David Carr, who is playing very well right now for the Houston Texans.

McNabb has Terrell Owens! One of the greatest recievers of all time! Talk to me when Roethlisberger has a great reciever. They have the same winning percentage (100%), same number of Interceptions (1), and he is a rookie. Ben Roethlinsberger is a better quarterback. Carr is pretty good. But at times he makes dumb mistakes, something that Ben doesnt do. Trust me I see the Texans every week. I know. He makes some as we call them around here 'Quincy decisions'. The only Quarterbacks better than Roethlinsberger is Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Steve McNair, Brett Favre, Daunte Culpepper, Michael Vick, maybe Jake Delhomme, and maybe Matt Hasselbeck. That is 9 Quarterbacks at the most, that are better than him.

Dang, Can Hines Ward get some love?

Best quote of the month right here, and a very underrated run-stopper.

"Casey Hampton, who recently was rated in a survey of NFL scouts as the NFL’s best nose tackle against the run."

Hopefully, Walters comment about Vinny needing a cane after the game becomes true, I'm so happy to see the Steelers doing well, it's about freakin' time.

Hines Ward is one of the best receivers in the NFL. Pittsburgh's wide out corps is better than Philadelphia's; although Owens is a little better than Ward, Plaxico Burress is far more superior than either Todd Pinkston or Freddie Mitchell. Don't forget about Antwaan Randle El either.

Roethlisberger hasn't made any bonehead decisions. Yet. I think he's an outstanding rookie and will be a great quarterback in the future, but all quarterbacks make "Quincy decisions." Even Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Bull ****. Philadelphia's Wide Reciever corps are WAY BETTER than Pittsburgh's. It is totally insane to think other wise.

Joey, how can you type that? Pittsburgh receivers are more rounded. Heck, when's the last time Freddie Mitchell took a shot from a safety over the middle, got up and smiled?

I can write that because Philly's Recievers are better than Pittsburgh's. Hines Ward is your only good wideout. Besides that, there is wow! Randle El, Morey, Buress, Mays, Doering, and Cobb. The only ones out of that that I have actually heard of is Ward, Randle El,  and Buress. Everyone else I have never heard of in my life. While Philly has Pinkston, Mitchell, McMullen, Lewis, and of course TO. Now the only one out of that that I havent heard of is Lewis. The only one out of that that I havent heard of is Lewis. Donovan McNabb's inacurracy is why the Eagles recievers have a reputation for being bad. Terrell Owens is why McNabb is so good right now. Owens is a great reciever, while McNabb is an average quarterback. He is overrated. And I dont know why everyone cant see it.

The Eagles WRs have a reputation for being bad because they drop far too many passes and couldn't get open before Owens' arrival. Believe me, you can't say that the Eagles' WRs are better than Pittsburgh's. Just because you have heard of players doesn't make them good. Billy McMullen is terrible; he can't catch a cold. Todd Pinkston, good? You mean the guy that everyone in Philadelphia calls "Todd Stinkston?" Freddie Mitchell is okay, but nowhere near the talented Plaxico Burress.

Walt, enough with the puns ! Yeah but the NFC Championship loss was Andy Reid fault for putting in Koy Detmer instead of AJ Feeley, and McNabb's fault for making dumb mistakes, and pretending to be injured so that he would be known for losing 3 straight NFC Championship games. It was not the reciever's faults.

You can't possibly be serious about McNabb faking an injury. He would never do that. He couldn't even get off the bench - someone had to help him up. I agree Feeley should have played but saying McNabb faked an injury is ridiculous.

Did you see the game? The "late-hit" was perfectly legal. How can you stop when you are in mid-air. But anyway, when I was watching they showed McNabb on the camera and he was fine. He looked at the camera and grabbed where his injury was in pain. He was acting.  McNabb didnt want to be known as the first quarterback in NFL history to lose two consecutive home-NFC Championship games. McNabb is a total fraud. And by the way he has acted towards the Cowboys and his critics (Im not just talking about Rush Limbaugh!), he is totally immature. Plus a very mediocre Quarterback. He is just like Jake Plummer, you are just blinded by those insane Philly fans.

The hit was legal. No one is disputing that.

McNabb couldn't even walk after halftime. You hadn't seen this obviously, but in the third quarter, he couldn't stand up on his own. Some of his teammates had to help him. He wanted to keep playing but Big Red took him out.

You can't say that McNabb is just as good as Jake Plummer. Plummer is awful.

I will withdraw that statement, but he is not much better than Plummer

How do you know that he wasnt acting, I saw him when the camera moved to him and he was fine until he saw the camera. Dont you think he knew they would put the camera on him just before they went into the locker room.

I don't think McNabb spends time during the game looking for a camera. His leg got progressively worse after the hit. It kept getting more stiff and eventually, he couldn't even stand up by himself. C'mon, I know you don't like McNabb, but this is a silly arguement you're making here. McNabb did not fake an injury.

He loves the spotlight, he craves it. That is why at first he made a huge deal about his relationship with Terrell Owens. Then he said he was sick and tired about people talking about his relationship with Terrell Owens. He was happy Rush made the comments he made because it put spotlight on him. He knew if he faked an injury, so he wouldnt go down as the second coming of Danny White noone would blame him, and he would get GOOD publicity for losing a game. Unbelievable. He hasnt fooled me.

I'm sure everyone wants the spotlight to be on them, but I don't think McNabb, or anyone for that matter, would fake an injury or be happy about what Rush said because he wants to be in the spotlight.

Deion would have. I think Deion is a great player, bat he is an ass hole. McNabb is a mediocre player and an ass hole.

I still don't see what your problem is with McNabb, but you're right about Deion. He would do something like that.

My main problem with McNabb is how everyone sais that he is a great guy, a great person, and a great player. I watch him on all of those commercials when he is a total ass to us, the Giants, and the Redskins. You have obviously never been to a Eagles/Cowboys game in Texas Stadium. He put down all of our players. He maked fun of Parcells in one interview I saw. He is an ass-hole and he puts on an act to the media. He is a pain in the ass, and I look forward to the day that he is no longer in the league.

Of course he's going to put down his rivals. It was be crazy to expect him to be nice to the "hated" Giants and Cowboys.

He takes it too far. Like TO doing Ray Lewis's dance last week should have been called as unsportsman like conduct. Theyre just ass-holes, nothing else to it.

C'mon, that dance was hilarious. Endzone celebrations help the NFL a lot.

TO is a total jerk. It was original, but totally childish. I am usually for end-zone celebrations, but tearing down signs, and imitating other players is downright unclassy.

Unclassy, not right... whatever. The next time an Eagles game is on, some average fans will think "hmmm... what will T.O. do this time?" and they'll watch the game instead of watching something else. That's why I thought the Joe Horn cell phone cell-ebration was a good thing.

I think the cell-abration was good, but what TO does is put people down, and I am not for that.
