If they play Atlanta they do. If they play Pittsburgh they do. They can run the ball down New England's throat if Edgerrin James gets his fumbling problem under wraps. And they have already beaten the Jaguars once. They definetly have a shot. But suppose they play a team like the Baltimore Ravens or Denver Broncos, they may lose.
What makes you think Indianapolis can beat Pittsburgh? They can't. Not in the playoffs, especially at frigid Heinz Field. The only teams the Colts can beat in the postseason are other poor defensive squads (i.e. Broncos and Chiefs). They won't beat the Steelers. They won't beat the Falcons. They won't beat the Patriots. They won't beat the Jaguars. They stink.
First of all. The Broncos are a great Defensive squad.
Second of all, theyve already beat Jacksonville. If it werent for a fumble at the One yard line they would have beaten the Patriots in Foxboro. Pittsburgh's Defense isnt good enough to stop the Indy Offense and I definetly dont think that Pittsburgh can stay in a shoot-out with the Colts. The Falcons Defense will be totally burnt in the Super Bowl. And Atlanta runs the ball too much. They wont have enough time to score as much as Indianapolis.
Of course they will. They'd lose to every single one of them, especially if it's outside. There's a more than one reason why Peyton Manning threw 4 INTs in last year's playoff game. Of course, the Patriots have a great defense, but weather played a factor into it. That is why you need a good defense; offenses can melt away with the weather, but defense is always a constant, barring injury.

Nice try Walt. In the Conference Championship against the team that didnt lose for 13 months. Joe Montana during his high probably couldnt have won that game. By the way most of those 49er teams won because of Offense. The '01 Patriots were pretty bad on Defense too. The Rams aint that hot on Defense, either. Manning can definetly win the Super Bowl.
1. When the Rams won the Super Bowl in 1999, they were ranked 4th in scoring defense, allowing 3.5 yards per carry.
2. When the Rams went to the Super Bowl in 2001, they were ranked 7th in scoring defense, allowing 3.8 yards per carry.
3. When the Pats won the Super Bowl in 2001, they were ranked 6th in scoring defense, intercepting 22 passes (tied for 3rd most). They shut down the Great Show on Turf in the Super Bowl. Yeah... pretty bad on D indeed.
4. When the 49ers won their first Super Bowl over Cincy, they were ranked 2nd in scoring defense.
5. When the 49ers won their second Super Bowl over Miami, they were ranked 1st in scoring defense.
6. When the 49ers won their third Super Bowl over Cincy, they were ranked 8th in scoring defense.
7. When the 49ers won their fourth Super Bowl over Denver, they were ranked 3rd in scoring defense.
8. When the 49ers won their fifth Super Bowl over San Diego, they were ranked 6th in scoring defense.
9. The Colts are currently ranked 28th in scoring defense. There is no chance... NO CHANCE... that they win the Super Bowl, or even advance there.
By the way, the Patrtios' statistic is misleading because they dramatically improved over the second half of the season. Morale wasn't very high when they started 0-2 and Drew Bledsoe got hurt. But they steadily improved and only allowed 14 ppg after week 7, compared to 21 at the beginning of the season.
2nd Half comeback? How will their defense magically improve without the addition of new, talented players? The Colts just dont have the personnel to be a good defensive team. They are even worse than last year - they lost their top LB and starting CBs. Their LBs and DBs are the worst in the NFL (except for maybe the Chiefs).
There is no progress. The Lions outgained the Colts in the first half yesterday, and should have had the lead if Joey Harrington didn't throw a few errant passes in the endzone. The last three games, the Colts beat up on the Lions, the Texans and the Bears. I'll spare you the "oh my."
Utter bull ****. The Bears were beat by us 2 days ago, but prior to that they were red hot. You picked the Lions to make the playoffs, and thr Texans were .500 a matter of weeks ago, your talking out of your ass now.
I really don't see your point. I picked the Lions to go to the playoffs prior to Charles Rogers' injury. The offensive line has been disappointing as well. The Bears are awful (their QB is Chad Hutchinson and Jon Quinn) and the Texans' offense is erratic
The Texans scored 28 unanswered points last Sunday, Roy Williams has made up for Charles Rogers, and if he is so bad how did those Jon Quinn win all of those games for Chicago.
Jonathan Quinn didn't win any games for Chicago. None. He was benched in favor of Craig Krenzel in case you didnt notice, and Krenzel had a 3-1 record as a starter.
Roy Williams has NOT made up for Charles Rogers. Yes, he has replaced him. But, Rogers and Williams were supposed to be the best young tandem of receivers in the NFL. Can you imagine if Harrington had BOTH of them? He doesn't.
All I am trying to say is that you cant say Detroit is worse off at WR this year than last, because they dont have Charley Rogers this season. Because you probably disagree but I have never seen Rogers make the catches that Roy Williams has this season.
Well, they are definitely better off. Not only is Williams better than Rogers - Rogers didn't even play most of last year. But, when I said that the Lions would make the playoffs, I was counting on both Rogers and Williams being in the lineup.
Also, I'm really disappointed in the play of Detroit's offensive line. I thought they would be much better than they are, especially after signing Damien Woody.
How about Julius Jones! Mel Kiper can kiss my ass. Steven Jackson, Hah!! Julius has been as good as him in only two games. I definetly see a running back that has potential to be the second best rusher in Dallas History. Yes Even better than Tony Dorsett, Hershel Walker, Duane Thomas. Best other than Emmitt.
He looks like he's headed in that direction. What a game on Monday night. I think he gives the Cowboys hope for making the playoffs. If you finish 3-1, you have a great chance.
I think that's a fair assessment of the rest of Dallas' schedule, and I agree with it. The Cowboys will finish 8-8, which will probably place them in a tie with the Panthers or Rams.
I say a tie with the Panthers and Rams. On the tie breaker, I believe that the Panthers will be 6-6 in the conference, Rams 5-7, and us 7-5 which would put us in the playoffs. WOW! Who would think when we were 3-7 that we would make the playoffs.
That's incredible. It's amazing how much a solid running game matters in the NFL. By the way, who do you think the Panthers will lose to? Atlanta seems like their only obstacle, because they have NEVER beaten Michael Vick.
