Walt, I would just like to know what you think of ND's firing of Notre Dame. Next to the horns and tech, the irish are my favorite so what do you think of the choice.

I'm very angry about Willingham's firing. It's not surprising that he got fired though. I saw it coming. The racists at Notre Dame were pressuring the AD to fire Willingham, and they did. Would he have the job if he were white? Yes. Bob Davey had a worse record after 3 years and he kept his job and was given the final 2 years of his contract. This is the first time that the Irish didn't honor their first contract of any non-interm coach. It's pathetic and sickens me that such racism can still exist in our country.

I'm thrilled that Urban Meyer stiffed the Irish and went to Florida. They got what they deserved. Now, they'll have trouble recruiting black players to their school.

I know you like Notre Dame, but they are a joke. They'll never return to their glory days. Never.

Hes a nice guy and they should have honored his contract, because they did honor Davey's and he was terrible. But I dont think it was racist, I think he hadnt won since his first season and Notre Dame got antsy. But I definetly agree at your point about Davey, he should have been fired after 2 or even one year, so maybe it was racist because that was odd, but I dont think that it was. Im not sure that I wouldnt have fired him, but I think I would have let him stay his two more years.

Im hearing alot of talk about Butch Davis, Jon Gruden, and even Bob Stoops. We'll see.

I am happy that Urban Meyer didnt go to ND too, because I wasnt that excited about him. He did good at Utah, but he is just the same-old same-old. If Shannahan leaves the Broncos this season maybe he would come too. That would make me excited.

I also want to add that I think it's nearly impossible to turn around a program in 3 years. Yes, it can be done, but think about it. How is Willingham supposed to win 9 or 10 games when all the players he recruited are only sophomores. He should at least been given 4 years.

I think ND held the outstanding record he had in his first season against him. It is a shame, but I think he spoiled them in that first year, so they fired him because of how they havent been back there since then. Im not sure that I agree, but I see what made them think they needed to fire him.

Anyway, where do you think Willingham will be next season?

I'm hearing Washington. He can definitely turn that program around. A lot of schools are interested in him, so he basically has a shot at any open job he wants. Utah is another possibility.

I hope Texas. Mack Brown is on the hot seat. If we lose in the bowl game he will be fired.

I guess you dont like Mack Brown, huh? He loses to Oklahoma every year, and he lobbies for BCS votes? I have no respect for that guy.

Noone does. Texas is better than Oklahoma. At least everyone here believes it, and we lose every year becasue Bob Stoops is better than Mack Brown 10 fold.

I'll be sad to see Mack Brown go, because I make money off that Red River Shootout every year. I just take Oklahoma every single time.

How much do you win? 5 dollars. Noone respects UT anymore. Roy Williams said that he thinks it is not as big anymore becuase OU just hands our ass to us every year. A new administration, and I think we could beat the Sooner-or-laters next year.

Well, I bet $200 on Oklahoma -7 this year, plus my dad bet the same amount, I think. It's easy money.

I dont know who after all of these years would pick Texas anymore. I think it was stated best when Tony Kornheiser said "I will believe Texas can beat Oklahoma, when Texas beats Oklahoma."

It's not just straight up either. Oklahoma was a 7 point favorite this season, which was a very easy bet. It's hard to imagine Texas ever beating the Sooners with Mack Brown as the Longhorns coach.
