Thanks. How great would it be if we had a tournament like this? I would not leave my room all weekend. I still think they could have the lesser bowls with teams that did not qualify for the tournament. Seriously, why don't they do this?
If they did this, I think that NCAA Football would be more popular than NFL. There is more spirit, NFL Football would be second. If I could watch College Football Playoffs, or NFL Regular Season Football, I would watch the NCAA Playoffs.
While nothing can currently beat the NFL, I could see many people choosing to watch "December Madness" over the regular-season NFL. Hopefully, we'll have some kind of a tournament in the next five years.
If they ever resort to a coaches vote for whether or not it happens, I definetly say that the coaches will choose the Tournament, so they dont have to lobby to the media anymore.
It just makes too much sense. The tournament would be great, and everyone would love it. I don't even want to hear the excuse that the players would miss class. They have playoffs in Div I-AA, I-AAA, II and III. I guess it doesn't matter if those players miss class?
And in Basketball, they miss class, I guess unless it doesnt suit their argument screw missing class. But if they can get the people mad over it then oh you can bet the players cant miss class. This is why College Football is steadily losing all of their fans to the NFL. NCAA Football people are too old school. And Im afraid unless one year it is the opposite of this year and everyone sucks, I dont think they will ever turn to a tournament of this sort.
I'm boycotting the bowls and I hope you and others do the same. The bowl system is a joke. I will not watch one single minute of a bowl game this year.
