Could Texas Tech win the Big 12 Title?

Yes! I looked at the bracket and my projections are we play Iowa State in the Quarter Finals. I think we can win that and advance to the Semi Finals. Then Oklahoma will likely defeat Nebraska or Missourri so that pits us against them and I think we could win that. We were worn down in the second half and I think Bob Knight can make the necessary changes and beat the Sooners which would put us in the Finals. Now in the Quarter Finals it will probably be Kansas beating A&M and Texas beating Oklahoma State. So it depends on Kansas v.s Texas. We have beaten both of those teams. After seeing the bracket if I could bet on one team to win the tourney it would be us. And if we are the Big 12 Champions we could be as high as a #2 seed in the NCAAs. I am extremely excited. The only scenario I see where we dont win is Oklahoma State beating Texas, then Kansas. And then easily beating us which is a very real possibility.

I think a number of teams can win the Big XII tournament, including Texas Tech. However, Oklahoma is the hottest team in that conference right now and I think they will win.

It depends on which Oklahoma shows up. But Bob Knight does have the formula to beat Oklahoma and if our players respond in the tourny we will win the conference.

I also think there are several teams that could win it.

1. Texas Tech
2. Oklahoma State
3. Oklahoma
4. Kansas
5. Texas

I believe any of those teams could win it.

Well, Texas lost last night and as I'm typing this Iowa State is beating Texas Tech 48-42. Don't sleep on the Cyclones--they are a good team and could win the Big XII Tourney.

Dang it, I missed the game. I thought it was tonight. But luckily Tech came back and won. Opposite of what we usually do. When it is close at the half we usually let up and get blown out, but it said on espn.com's scoreboard that we were up by 2 at halftime and then started pulling away. I think we can beat Oklahoma, if I could choose a team out of the 3 besides us that will be in the semis I would choose Oklahoma, Im telling you Bob Knight knows how to beat the Sooners.

I knew it. I knew we could do it. Now all we have to do is root for Kansas and I think we have it. But I know we cant beat Oklahoma State they own us, but I think we can beat Kansas.

Well, cant win em all. Just by getting to the Big 12 Finals I suspect we will be about a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAAs.

Oh well, didnt think we would win anyway. But making it so competitive got us a 6 seed and we probably wouldnt have gotten any higher if we would have won it.

You see Texas Tech more than I do. What do you think their chances are against Gonzaga?

Everyone is picking UCLA to beat us, I dont understand it, as you said we are one of the best teams from three. UCLA cannot defend the three, meanwhile we were runner up in the third best conference in the nation in my oppinion, the Big 12. While UCLA lost in the first round of the weak PAC 10.

Another thing people say is we have no inside presence. Not true. Ronald Ross was outstanding on layups against Oklahoma State. Zeno and Jackson are also good inside people. If we had Andre Emmett this year we would be in the Final Four. But anyway it will be alot harder with Gonzaga's inside presence. I think we will take advantage of Gonzaga's aggressiveness by picking up fouls and we are one of the best free throw teams in the nation. From what I know of the Zags they run a slower pace much like us. That will be alot easier for us because we struggle in fast paced games (3 losses to Oklahoma State). I think we will win in a close one.

We have a great shot at Wake Forest. I think our Defense will contain the Wake Offense. Then we can outscore them with the three against their less than perfect defensive group. I think we are almost as good of a scoring team and our defense is alot better. We will drop a 100 point bomb on the deacons and have them shell shocked I have changed my pick we beat Wake something like 104-79 in a shocking blowout.

Thats where it ends. I think Georgia Tech is just a much better team than us.

Wow. So far Im 2-0.

I knew UCLA had no shot against us, we led the whole game long and every time they tied it up we went on another run. Digger Phelps and Steve Lavin need to get their heads examined for picking UCLA.

I was right about Gonzaga as well they kept giving us silly fouls and putting us, one of the greatest free throw teams in the nation at the line. Also we shut them down from beyond the arc and I think we had over 50 percent three point shooting in the second half. And they tried to speed up the tempo to beat us like Oklahoma State did, and they just turned it over again and again. They should have stuck to being themselves if they would have they would have won. We won and are going to the Sweet 16.

To tell you the truth Im really not that concerned with West Virginia or Wake Forest. Neither has much defense and Defense beats Offense every time. If Wake Forest wins, which they likely will they also have a Tourney curse. So I think we are headed to the Elite 8.

From here we could be facing a number of teams, Pacific, Washington, Louisville, or Georgia Tech. We will most likely be playing either Louisville or Georgia Tech. I think we could beat Louisville, but Georgia Tech is on fire and would probably put our backs against the wall. I think this is where our journey ends.

If we do win the Albequerque region we would either have Illinois, or meet Oklahoma State for a fourth time this season, that would be good. But I probably dont need to worry about this stage because it would be a miracle if we made the Final 4. Im not saying it is impossible, crazy stuff happens in March. But very unlikely. Me praying on my hands and knees has gotten us this far though, how do I not know it would get us that far?

P.S whats up with our website it is having problems like it had when it was on the Central High website.

We lucked off again with Louisville beating Georgia Tech. I think we could definetly beat Washington, Louisville might be tough but not near as tough as Tech would have been. So I think we are in the Final Four again. But it would be a miracle if we beat Illinois in the Final Four, if we play Oklahoma State we might win. We almost defeated them already in Missourri, why oculdnt we play them tough and get close to beating them again. But it would be a miracle if we won the title, just too many teams to face.

I cant believe it. West Virginia is a fraud and will be beaten by 30 points against Louisville. Damn Ronald Ross. He was saying all that **** about never losing in the pit before the game and then he doesnt even show up. What a classic choker.

Wow. Now Duke lost to Michigan State, NC State lost to Wisconsin, and Oklahoma State lost to Arizona. All considerably large upsets on my bracket.

Holy ****. The Big Ten has 3 teams in the Elite 8. The Big Ten is alot better than I gave it credit for. Illinois might breeze to the National Championship going with only one loss in that conference. I think now you have to say that the Big Ten is the best conference in the nation. Because today there were 2 games between those conferences and it was a Big Ten sweep. It will likely be UNC and Kentucky advancing so here is the number of teams from each conference.

Big Ten- 3
ACC- 1
SEC- 1
PAC 10- 1
Conference USA- 1
Big East- 1

That is amazing. The Big Ten is the only multiple bid conference, and it has almost half of the teams in the Elite 8. I am shocked.

I'm a little shocked, but I'm not yet ready to call the Big Ten the best conference in the nation. Illinois, Michigan State and Wisconsin are great, but the rest of their conference is garbage, especially with the expulsions of Pierre Pierce and Daniel Horton.
