Maurice Clarett from the Ohio State Buckeyes was picked by the Denver Broncos with the last pick of Day 1.

Alex Smith from the undefeated Utah Utes was picked by the 49ers, the worst team in the NFL.

Ronnie Bown, who was playing second fiddle with teammate from Auburn, Carnell Williams.

Braylon Edwards was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

By the way, did you see the cardinals new jersey?

Speaking of the Cardinals, I think whey will win the NFC West. Rams:2nd, Seahawks:3rd and obviously, niners:dead last.

I like the Clarett pick. I think people should criticize Mike Shanahan's other picks like Kelvin Hayden and Dominique Foxworth. Clarett will be a good player in the NFL.

I won't be surprised if the Cardinals win the NFC West. They definitely have a shot. The NFC West is the worst division in football, yet again.

And another team that has a shot is the Dallas Cowboys. If I were an Eagles fan, I'd start worrying because Demarcus Ware and Marcus Spears will put a lot of presure on Donovan McNabb, Eli Manning and (Insert Redskins starting QB). Kevin Burnett is a good LB, Marion Barber III can spell Julius for some plays. Chris Canty is also a good pick.

If Matt Leinart decided to go to the NFL (which didn't happen), Would he be at SF?
Now what do the Jets need?
Out of the 2005 draft class, who will go to the pro bowl for the most seasons?
Will the Brownies be in trouble if Kellen Winslow doesn't return by preseason?
Will USC repeat?
Can the Browns beat the Ravens this season?

Walter?

Yes, the 49ers would have drafted Matt Leinart.

On offense, the Jets have a hole at right tackle, vacated by Kareem McKenzie. On defense, the Jets need a defensive tackle to play alongside Dewayne Robertson. I also think they need a solid cornerback and free safety. Justin Miller could become that cornerback, but not this year. They also need a defensive end, depending on what happens to John Abraham.

The Pro Bowl question is a tough one. Cedric Benson, Mike Williams, Antrel Rolle, Jammal Brown and Demarcus Ware are all possibilities.

Kellen Winslow Jr. will not be back by preseason. I don't know how much trouble they could possibly be in--I didn't think they were going to win more than six games regardless. Romeo Crennel needs to add talent to his defense.

I think USC will repeat. I like USC over Michigan. Ohio State, Tennessee, Iowa and Louisville will also be in the mix.

I think the Browns CAN beat the Ravens. They beat them last year. Will they? I wouldn't bet on it.

If Matt Leinart led SF to an 10-6 or better record in his rookie year, would he be the MVP?
The Jets can adress those needs with D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Rodrigue Wright, Lenoard
Little, Travis Fisher and Walt Harris, and John Lynch.

Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith (the QB), Heath Miller, Mike Williams, Cedric Benson, Ronnie Brown, Carnell Williams, and Mike Nugent would make the most Pro Bowl appearances.

Rose Bowl: USC over Miami 23-10
Orange Bowl: Michigan over Iowa 45- 12
Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State over Florida 21-18 OT
Sugar Bowl: Tennessee over 'Bama 30-27 2OT
Capital One Bowl Cal ovr U of L 66- 40

Will The Patriots meet the Vikings in Detroit?

Is Mike Nolan a good coach?

If Bill Parcells coached the Saints, would they win the Super Bowl?

How Many Wins would the 49ers get?
Will the Jets Return to 2004 and 2002 form or 2003 form?
Will the Chargers win the AFC West again?
Speaking of the AFC West, how many wins would the Broncos have?
Barring a season ending injury to Chad Pennington, would the Jets go back to the playoffs?
How many wins would the Dolphins have with Nick Saban?
Would he take them to the playoffs? Would he beat the Patriots?

Walt?

No. Unless Leinart threw for 5,000 yards, he would not be MVP. Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a 15-1 record and was not named MVP.

As of now, it looks like the Patriots and Vikings are the best teams from their respective conferences. I think they will play in Super Bowl XL, barring serious injuries.

At first, I didn't like the Mike Nolan hiring, but I like what he has done so far. He seems to be instilling a positive attitude in San Francisco, and I really like the way he handled the draft. Plus, his suit protest scores him some points.

No, the Saints would not win the Super Bowl under Parcells. Their defense cannot stop the run, and I have little faith in Aaron Brooks. He is talented, but Brooks just doesn't have the winning attitude of a Tom Brady. However, Parcells would definitely get them into the playoffs. No doubt about that.

I think the 49ers can 4-6 games next year. I'll have a definite number in a few weeks when I do my season previews.

The Jets will not return to 2003 form unless Chad Pennington does not recover from his injury. If he does, they will be in playoff contention, but their defense has worsened. It'll be tough for them to win 10 games.

I think Kansas City may win the AFC West. They have solid defensive players now. It'll be between the Chiefs and the Chargers. Like I said before, you'll have a definite answer once I do my season previews.

If the Broncos win more than eight games, I'll be shocked. I'll also be willing to admit that I was wrong about Mike Shanahan's moves. I just don't see it though. I think they win 6-8 games.

The Jets could make the playoffs, but like I said, it'll be tough because the four division winners will be: NE, PIT, IND/JAX and KC/SD. The wildcard teams will be JAX/IND, SD/KC, CIN, BAL and NYJ. The AFC is extremely tough.

The Dolphins have a lot of rebuilding to do. They'll be better than last year, thanks to Ronnie Brown. But, they lost Patrick Surtain, Morlon Greenwood, Sammy Knight, Bryan Robinson, Arturo Freeman and Jay Williams on defense. They'll win five or six games.

If Cincinnati, Baltmore, NY Jets, San Diego, Kansas City, and Buffalo were in the NFC,
They would dominate that conference. In fact, the could be SB contenders if they were in that conference.

I totally agree, but I think you can take Buffalo out of the mix and replace them with Jacksonville. I'm not sold on J.P. Losman, and the Bills will miss Jonas Jennings and Pat Williams.

I know J. P. Losman is inexperienced but he could've learned a lot from Drew Bledsoe.

Losman may have learned a lot, but you have to remember that he is essentially a rookie. He's going to struggle early on like Carson Palmer did last year. Teams are going to load up against Willis McGahee and force Losman to beat them downfield. I think Buffalo gets off to a slow start. Whether they finish strong or not is up to Losman.

NFL Questions
Can the Colts throw monkey off back and finally beat the Patriots?
Can the Panthers and Saints beat the Falcons this year?
If Mike Shanahan gets the Broncos to the Playoffs but gets slaughtered again, would he keep his job?
Would Ladainian Tomlinson run over the Chiefs again?

College Football Questions
Would Texas win the Big 12 despite losing Cedric Benson and Derrick Johnson?
Is the Big East improved?
Would Virginia Tech win the ACC again?
Would Penn State win the Big 10?
Who is the worst team in a BCS Conference?
I looked at the recruiting board and USC got the next Matt Leinart.
The BCS has got to go. (Ask Auburn, they almost lost to the Hokies in the Sugar Bowl.)

College Basketball
Will Duke get back on track and return to the Final Four?

No, the Colts will not beat the Patriots as long as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are respectively coaching and healthy.

The Saints cannot beat the Falcons if Michael Vick is healthy. Aaron Brooks has never beaten his cousin. The Panthers also have never beaten Vick, but they have the defensive pieces to do it. They nearly took down Atlanta late last year.

I think Mike Shanahan keeps his job unless he has a catastrophic five-win season next year. There's more of a chance that he quits than gets fired. He may quit if he gets slaughtered again.

I think Tomlinson will have one good game against the Chiefs. Kansas City has improved their defense, but they still need help at defensive tackle.

I don't think Texas will win the Big XII. Oklahoma will win it again.

The Big East is improved with the addition of Louisville. The Cardinals should easily win the conference.

Virginia Tech has a shot at the ACC, but chances are Miami will win.

The worst team in a BCS Conference... Temple is out of the Big East, so it cannot be them. You could be looking at Indiana, Baylor, Duke, Arkansas (no Matt Jones), Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Probably Baylor or Duke.

I rank Duke as the top team in the nation right now. They will be in the Final Four next year.

Where did Temple go?
Who is the best team in the Pac-10 not named USC?
Who will win the Big Ten?
Would the Florida Gators win the SEC this year or will LSU or Tennessee win it?
Would the Utes be as good as they were last year?
What place will FSU finish in the ACC?

Temple will be a 1-A independent.

I think Cal is still the second-best team in the Pac 10. But, they are nowhere near USC. That game will not be close this year. Arizona State and UCLA will be in the mix.

My Big 10 predicted standings in order: Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana.

I think Tennessee wins the SEC, but Florida could definitely win it.

Utah will not be anywhere near as good as they were last year. If you're looking for the best non-BCS team, try Boise State, Fresno State or Bowling Green.

Florida State probably finishes behind Miami and Virginia Tech. Third place.

Rutgers has a great tight end, but their team is not that good. I think they'll win four games again this year.

Luckily for Pittsburgh, the Big East stinks, compared to the other BCS conferences. Louisville will win the conference, but after that, it's a toss up. They could come in second place.

The worst team in the NFL has to be Washington. I cannot see them scoring any points on offense, and their defense has worsened because Antonio Pierce and Fred Smoot have left. Yet, they surrendered their first-round pick to Denver.

Washington will not go 0-8 in the PAC 10 next year. They will be better with Ty Willingham, but it'll take him two or three years to get things together. Washington could finish last. If they don't, it'll probably be Stanford.

USC is invincible. They destroyed Oklahoma in front of National Television and Miami.
It's a shame Auburn didn't play in the Orange Bowl. They pretty much had the Sugar Bowl in the bag but Tech came back with 2 Josh Morgan Touchdowns.
They still lost to Auburn 16-13

Curse You BCS.

I want a Playoff.

And why in the world Pitt participated in a BCS Bowl? They nearly lost to the Furman Paladins. Utah ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED Them in the Fiesta Bowl.

Yeah, but the NFC, Clinton Portis, Lavar Arrington, and Joe Gibbs are the only ones that saves the Redskins from going rock-bottom. If they were in the AFC, they would be 0-16.

If they were in the AFC East, not only they would be facing the Pats twice, they will get slaughtered by the Jets, Patriots, Bills and Dolphins.

The Jets hstorically struggles versus Washington, but they might turn it around.

If Denver gets Matt Leinart, Washington will be furious because they might've drafted him but Denver got their pick.

And like the Jets, the Patriots struggled with Washington recently.

Is it just me or the Redskins play their best versus AFC teams?

6 posts in one day for me wow!
