It says on your draft centeral that they have done NOTHING to improve there recieving corp. What do you call adding two veterans that can actually hold onto the ball.
And establish the run. Alexander the Great (my nickname for him) is one of the best RBs in the league. And then the Play Action fakes. Can the Jaguars shut down the Great 5 recievers that the Hawks have? No Way. You are right about Antrel Rolle. He is a rookie and they need time and experience to be successful in this league. Alex Smith will struggle in his first year because not just he's in a horrible team, he is just a rook with a lot of hype.
Walt has the seahawks 9th in the draft(a bad year) and Seattle getting pretty badly beaten by jacksonville. That game will probably be one of the closer games week 1, and i think seattle can pull it off. But yet again, anyone has a chance AT jacksonville. Jacksonville didnt stop the run that much last year. The 2nd string running back from san diego had like 150 yds on them. Alexander has a one of the best O-lines now and it will be hard to stop him. The Jags cant cover all of Seattles WRS and will give up some big plays. Jax didnt draft the corner they needed in the first round when they took matt jones(whos a great athlete but i think they should have picked clayton). Jax offense was a disappointment this year and i think the new and improved D can step up and make plays
Either way i think it is going to be a good game for whoever wins it.
Oh Jamie Sharper, I know him. He was playing for the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. He played with Mike McCrary, Tony Siragusa, Sam Adams, Ray Lewis, Peter Boulware, Ed Hartwell, Duane Starks, and I forgot the rest but that unit was dominating.
Move the Giants to Anaheim and and SF should take the Giants place.

I stand by my statement that Seattle has done nothing to IMPROVE their WR corps. Joe Jurevicius will spend weeks on the injured list, while Jerome Pathon is a has-been.
I don't hate any team in the NFL. Last year, I thought the Seahawks would be in the Super Bowl. Their defense is terrible and they cannot beat St. Louis. In my opinion, they have gotten worse, while the Rams and Cardinals have improved. They have a tough non-divisional schedule (@Jax, vs.ATL, vs.DAL, @PHI, vs.IND, @GB.) I don't see anything better than 7-9.
They made a whole lot of inprovement on D if they only stay healthy(there D sucked because of it). They made up for the okefor loss with fisher, who has as much sacks, and got better with there CB situation with adding herndon and dyson after losing lucas for half the price. Simmons and Brown are always injured, but now we have a great LB in Jamie Sharper that has started 127 games. There young safties have matured and are now a great duo. The key to this Defense is really on Grant wistrom, if he stays healthy, we finally have a pass rush, which was really bad last year.
You said the DT's are among the 2 worst in the leauge, and maybe i can agree with you, but what you dont know is our #1 pick from 04 will play this year, Marcus Tubbs, a big DT with alot of potential can improve us in that area.
Seattle has a lot of Depth this year
The problem is not that we dont have bad recievers, it is that they cannot hold onto the ball. If they succeed in this, they will be a top 5 offense, which they have had WITH the droped passes. They have a top 5 oline with a great RB who IS coming back, so if the recievers catch the ball, we will be a very strong offensive team.
I don't think their defense has improved at all. Chike Okeafor for Bryce Fisher is a serious downgrade. I also think the Lucas to Dyson transaction is a downgrade, but like you said, they added Dyson and Herndon, so that's not really an issue. I have no beef with their secondary.
Potential is a scary word. Why hasn't Marcus Tubbs cracked the starting lineup? If he cannot beat out Cedric Woodard and Rashad Moore, how long is it before we start calling him a first-round bust?
Houston cut Jamie Sharper because he was too slow. Sharper is still a decent linebacker, but he is past his prime. Who else do the Seahawks have in their LB corps? Niko Koutouvides? D.D. Lewis? They will not be able to stop the run.
The Seahawks will continue to have problems dropping the ball. To me, that has to be coaching. Koren Robinson and Darrell Jackson often seem unfocused. This could be Mike Holmgren's final stand in Seattle.
Fisher is not a downgrade from okefor. They had the same amont of sacks in 04 and Fisher is better at stopping both the run and pressuring the QB. Fisher is younger also.
Tubbs had some off field issues last year and had some mild injuries last season(i may have said that) and was gone most of the year. Thats why he didnt start in 04.
The reason houston cut sharper was because of money. And that was mostly the reason. Sharpers days may be behind him, but he can still make a huge impact on teams. I think he was 2nd in the NFL in tackles last year. That is what they need, Production.
I agree that robinson and jackson are having trouble, but jackson continues to get 1000 yard seasons. Jurivicius and pathon were not brought in to have 1000 yard seasons, there here to make small gains and catch the ball. We have a really good recieving core, and if we can tone down the dropped passes a little, our offense will be top 5.
Niko Koudivides had a pretty good rookie year last year for not playing a full season, if he plays year round, he can be a really good MLB.
They do not have enough money for Boulware, but if they cut some people AKA bobby taylor, they can get him.
I neither hate the Steelers nor the Seahawks. I know Jason is kidding though.
You're right about Fisher's ability against the run, but I'm not convinced that his nine sacks weren't a fluke. If you look at when he accumulated his sacks, they were against teams with injured or poor offensive lines. Remember, he also benefitted from double teams on Leonard Little.
Houston cut Sharper because of money and speed. The Texans said they were trying to upgrade speed on defense this off-season. Sharper has slowed down since his Super Bowl winning days in Baltimore.
I never said Koren Robinson and Darrell Jackson were not talented. They are. But, they are also often unfocused and kill drives by dropping easy passes. I would not depend on oft-injured Joe Jurevicius and the mediocre Jerome Pathon.
I don't see the Seahawks getting over the hump against the Rams. I see St. Louis sweeping them again. Seattle is just not mentally tough enough to overcome adversity.
