The Eagles are dead 3 straight slaughtering losses in the NFC Championship Game have given them the same mental block that the Vikings have. It is all over! They will make the Playoffs this year and after that expect the NFC East cellar
If they didn't sign Owens and Kearse, I'd agree. But, the two new Eagles give them hope for another Super Bowl run. If they don't get there this year (and I don't think they will), that's when they'll be headed down to the cellar.
Why does everyone think that just Owens and Kearse will have a miraculous affect on the Eagles. Owens will cause more harm than good in Philly. Kearse will help the team but he doesnt have much help. Owens is Cancer in the Eagles organization if any of the organization was smart they would have offered Dallas something for Joey Galloway. Or even offer something to the Bucs for Keyshawn but he may have done the same thing that TO will do. I dont know why everyone sais that in the NFC Title game, it was all the Wide Outs fault. Michael Irvin would have had trouble catching some of those passes. McNabb and his backup are to blame. Everyone sais what a great QB McNabb is. Well look at his stats this year. He was the 19th ranked QB in the NFL, Quincy Carter and Kelly Holcomb were in front of him! McNabb IS Overrated, TO WILL cause more harm than good, and the Eagles WILL Struggle to stay above .500 this year. Ever since Rush Limbaugh said it everyone has been kissing McNabb's butt this year and its making me sick! He not only is not that talented but also sometimes when he sais hes injured look at him he's fine until he sees the camera.
While I gave the Eagles an 11-5 record (because of their easy schedule), I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 8-8 or worse. The thing I didn't understand about the NFC Championship game was why Koy Detmer was in there instead of A.J. Feeley. Feeley is much more accurate than Detmer; that decision could have changed the outcome of the game.
Just about anyone would have been better than Koy Detmer. AJ Feeley is a legit NFL QB, Detmer should be proud if someone sais he is almost as good as Vinny Testaverde. Thats almost like when Dallas started Gary Hogeboom instead of Danny White. But McNabb wasnt really injured. He should be an actor. Look at that tape of the NFC Championship. McNabb is fine, he looks around and sees a camera on him and then he grabs his head and acts like a martyr.
