I was almost as shocked that Vanderjagt missed both of them as I was that Parcells didn't go for two at the end of regulation. I think that we would have made it, we were running up and down Minnesota's defense at that time.
Different coaching philosophies I guess; most coaches would have gone for two. Parcells wanted another quarter out of his team. I can't really blame him.
He treats the preseason like its a real game. I guess that's why he's now 11-4-1 in the preseason with the Cowboys.
I thought it was pretty funny when they asked him after the game why he kicked the PAT rather than gone for two and he replied "'Cause that's what I wanted to do".
Yeah, you have to love Parcells. And you know he couldn't get away with it if he wasn't so good. If someone like Jim Mora Jr., Jack Del Rio, or any of the new coaches would have said that, they would have been run out of town immediately.
Do you ever watch his press conferences on www.dallascowboys.com? He's one of the most entertaining coaches in sports, and unlike other entertaining coaches like Jerry Glanville, he's actually good.
