Looks like Belichick didn't heed your advise, Walt. Branch was just traded to Seattle. The Patriots just got significantly worse and Seattle just got significantly better.

Worse in 2006. But if the Seahawks suffer from the Super Bowl Loser Jinx, the Patriots could have a No. 15 pick in 2007. Bad trade for the present, great trade for the future.

I think the pick will probably be closer to 28th than 15th. Seattle didn't look very good against the Lions but I agree that they were looking ahead.
