I think the Boss is making a huge mistake if he gets rid of Joe Torre. Its not Torre's fault the Yankees can't go very far in the playoffs, I just think the Boss is proving that you can't win with a team of all superstars. They dont have any chemistry and there's too many egos. A-Rod choking doesn't help any either. Does Steinbrenner honestly think that Lou Pineilla would do better? What did he do with Tampa Bay? As a Red Sox fan it would be good for us if Torre was fired but I think it would be a huge mistake on New York's part.
I'm glad someone agrees with me. It's amazing how the entire NY media is against Torre. Imagine how good the Yankees would be if Cashman spent some of that money on pitching.
Given the budget Cashman has to work with, there is no excuse for the Yankees NOT winning at least every other year. The last time they won the World Series was in 2000. They should have claimed three championships since then.
