im just wondering why you arent still bragging about that hawks/49ers games. is it because your team is 5-7 while the seahawks are 8-4 with a chance to clinch the nfc west AGAIN this week? is that the reason?

Well the 49ers played a great game tonight @ Seattle. That is a great win for a young team, especially in a place like Seattle. I was surprised they played this well. Gore had another huge game, and Smith played well. It's almost impossible, and the Seahawks probably will win the divison, but the 49ers have an outside shot to win the west.

What a weird game...

Seattle dominated this game in the first half, but just made dumb mistakes... The 49ers looked lost and confused.

The turn this game took was unbelievable. All of the Seahawks' mistakes just gave San Francisco confidence...

I'm really shocked -- Alex Smith looked like a totally different person in the 2nd half.

The same applies to Gore; he couldn't run at all.

I got the pick wrong, but my 100:1 shot is still alive somehow.

We need four things to happen: Seattle to lose to San Diego and Tampa Bay (gulp), and San Francisco to beat Arizona and Denver.

We'll see what transpires.

Yeah I agree man. I left the bar after the first half because I thought we weren't going to score anymore than 3.

obviously im very unhappy about the loss. it just doesnt appear to be seattles year. san francisco looks to be a sure contender in the up and coming years.

hopefully we can still win the division

Have you guys heard reports that Mike Nolan is on the hot seat? To fire Nolan, would just be insane. He has completely changed with team, that doesn't seem to have great talent into a pretty good team.

Yeah I heard this. I was shocked too. I completely agree, Nolan has been great for this young team. I think the reports are false though, because Ronnie Lott blasted a writer for saying that. He was on a radio station talking about it, but I doubt it.

If the 49ers fire Mike Nolan, they deserve to go 0-16 for the next 20 years. I can't believe that rumor is true; Nolan completely turned this franchise around.

Swifty,

Glad you got the Seattle-SF game right. Good luck with your other picks.
