Even though we lost, I think this might be the best game Penn State has played in 2 years. Mills looked extremely sharp and the defense was excellent, picking off Orton twice. What cost us the game was a lack of a running game (which is odd since Tony Hunt is a solid back) and an inability to convert on 3rd down in Purdue territory. Still, it was a good game and I thought they looked more like the team I thought they would be all season (as opposed to the hurdling mongolian cluster**** that handed BC a win on a silver platter).
I did see some of the game, and Penn State nearly knocked off the 2nd Heisman candidate from Purdue in five years (Drew Brees, 2000). Even though they are 0-3 in Big Ten play, PSU is playing pretty well, considering that they have been competitive with three of the top four teams in the conference.
