I'm going with the Texans. I think the Colts will win, but I also think it will be a close game, and perhaps David Carr can steal it at the end.
Standings:
Joey - 1
Me - 1
Fricko - 0
Anyone is welcome to join in. Just pick one of the five underdogs you think will win outright.
NOTE: You can pick two teams and if they both win, you get 3 (2 right + 1) points, but if EITHER loses, not only do you not get any points, you lose one. You can pick three teams and if they all win you get 5 (3 right + 2), but once again, if ANY ONE of them loses, you get -1. This will be designed for people who are behind and need to catch up. So, it's high risk, high reward. But... you can't put yourself in a situation where you'll end up with negative points (you cant take more than one team if u currently have zero).
Lets talk about these rules. If I take one, why not take 3 because Ill just get -1 just like in picking two. We should change it to if you pick one, you can get +1 or stand still. If you pick two you get 2, or -1. If you pick 3 you get +3 or -2. But I think someway the pick three rule has to change.
Texans have a shot. Bills have no shot. I sure as hell aint picking us anymore. Bears have a good chance. Packers will kill the Vikings.
Out of that group I will have to go with the Texans.
I say if we have a tie at the end of the season we decide the winner by adding back the points they may have lost by picking two. Right now that would mean Fricko would win the pot, and Walt and I would be tied. If after that there is still a tie, I say we decide a winner by adding how many points their victorious underdog was favored to lose by. So if you pick a long shot and win, if it goes into a double tie, you will probably win. So right now I would be in last place, because I won with the Lions who were 7 point underdogs, and Walt won with the Jaguars who were 9 point underdogs. Jason, or anyone else as Walt said feel free to pick an underdog next week.
