Lakers come together and go all the way to the Western Conference finals (loss to the Spurs). Next year we take in Yao and Championship! Oh Yeah, This will totally resurrect us!
Phil is not coming back. If he does, there is no championship. He couldn't win last year with Shaq and Kobe. How can he win with Kobe? I don't think the two can co-exist again, anyway.
Phil said the Lakers were close to a championship team. Yeah, they are seven feet away. Make that seven feet, 325 lbs. Forget winning without Shaq. It's not happening.
You dont have to be from a city to like a team. I dont go by just what city I live in, I go by what a team's history and character is. As you can read from the fact that I like the Cowboys and Lakers, I like teams that have good history, and alot of pride. But I cannot stand the Yankees because they ruined baseball. Its not fun to watch when they buy every all star that is on the market. Cowboys and Lakers dont do that. They go on good spurts then fizzle out, rebuild and go on a good run again. I think the Rangers are a good team they are in my top 5 favorite baseball teams, but I cant have them up there with the Braves and Red Sox because they are kind of like lovable losers, they dont have enough pride. While I hate the Mavericks because Mark Cuban is obnoxious. He talks smack about Phil's coaching with Shaq, How many rings does Phil have? Oh yeah 9. How many do you have Mark? Oh Yeah none. Real Smart move. He thinks hes the coach he drives me nuts. Then, he totally copies Donald Trump's show the Apprentice. So he goes to a Cowboys pre season game against the Titans on Monday Night Football to plug it, while wearing a Mavericks jersey to a Cowboys game, and then he talks some more smack about how much better his show is than Trump's, what happens. Trump has the #1 Reality show, Cuban's is canceled. Real smart, Mark. Plus, Im surprised he wasnt beaten up for wearing the Mavericks jersey to a Cowboys game.
