I know these are definetly not official, but there is no real NFL news, so Im just doing this fun.
I think Culpepper will become a merely OK QB when they lose Moss, and Tice is an awful coach, also teams that change ownership during a year usually are bad that year.
After reading your offseason needs page, I do believe that the Jags win the South. But if the Colts retain Edgerrin James, then I say they do compete with the Jags and at the least make the playoffs instead of the Steelers. But right now, Im thinking that Edge is leaving
Bill Parcells never said we were keeping Vinny, Jerry Jones said we were keeping Vinny, Vinny will not be the Cowboys quarterback next year, Drew Bledsoe is, and I hear we may be keeping our draft pick and him. But if we keep Vinny, I will change my pick to us being dead last in the NFC East.
I do think Favre retires, and the Packers have an extremely difficult schedule. Packers will finish 3-13.
I cant say more than I already have I think the Saints win.
Seattle is losing Hasselbeck and Alexander, St. Louis has Mike Martz, and the other team is San Fransisco. Enough said. Arizona wins the NFC West easily enough that they throw a few games at the end of the season.
After another disappointing last place finish, Joe Gibbs will retire next year making the Skins officially the worst team in the NFC East for a long time.
I can buy what you're saying about the Vikings. You never know with that team and that coach.
The Colts will competitive with the Jaguars. It wouldn't be surprising for me to see either team win the South. But, I do think Jacksonville will sweep Indianapolis.
I was looking at Giants 12-4, and I can somehow believe that. Eli Manning improved a lot over the few games he played. If the Eagles succumb to the Super Bowl Loser curse, the G-Men could win the NFC East.
If Favre retires, the Packers are going to be terrible. I do think J.T. O'Sullivan will be a decent quarterback, so I'd give them a 5-11 record.
I think the Seahawks will lose Alexander, but I don't think they are going to part with Hasselbeck. They may franchise him now that they resigned Walter Jones to a seven-year deal.
If they retain Hasselbeck I could see them winning one or two more games but thats it. Hasselbeck can be really good or really bad, and on the really bad days, sometimes they find a way to win because of the running game. They cant do that anymore. Seattle will be terrible without a running game.
I also could see Jacksonville sweeping Indy, but I could also see Indy sweeping Jacksonville. AFC South is the toughest division to pick by far.
Gosh, NFC West is terrible. Why arent the Rams or Cards or Seahawks spending huge money this off season all of these teams are below average, but the 49ers are below having any chance. I think they might not make the playoffs for about 12 years,
Hasselbeck makes the occasional bonehead throw, but most quarterbacks do. But, Hasselbeck's stats are greatly affected by all of the dropped passes by his horrible receivers.
I think there is a greater chance that Jacksonville sweeps Indy than vice versa. The Jags dominated the Colts in both games this year. It will probably be some sort of split though.
The 49ers' organization is terrible. You're right... they probably won't see the post-season light for more than a dozen years.
I agree, but that doesnt make any difference they still will have the dropped passes because Mike Holmgren isnt smart enough to aquire any good Wideouts. Seattle is dead if they lost Alexander.
Youre right it will probably be a split.
If anyone dominated the Colts dominated both games. It took a Touchdown at the end for Jacksonville to win in Indy, and how can you say the Jags dominated the first game. The Colts had the lead all day long.
I watched the first game, and I will say that Jacksonville partially dominated Indianapolis. What I mean by that is, the Jaguars' defense gave Manning lots of problems, and the Colts were able to maintain two truly successful drives the entire game. At that point in the season, Leftwich and the offense were still trying to find themselves, and they could not consistently score against Indy, which is the only reason why they lost.
The second time they played, the Jaguars were able to put points on the board. Their defense continued to frustrate Manning, and if you remember, that was the game when Manning and Reggie Wayne got into a shoving match. Jacksonville's defense has the Colts offense's number.
The First game. Colts moved the ball down field and every time the Jaguars got in striking distance the Colts marched down again. That game was never in Jacksonville's hands.
For a game against Jacksonville 3 truly successful drives are damn good. It doesnt change the fact that the Colts dominated the first game and your a fool if you think they didnt.
Jacksonville only lost because their inept (at the time) offense failed to convert a few fourth-and-one situations. The Jaguars dominated the Colts because they were one of the few teams this year that actually contained that explosive offense.
Because no team in the NFL, excluding New England, held Indianapolis' offense in check like the Jaguars did. No team. They only lost the first time because their offense was going through some growing pains and couldn't convert a few key short yardage situations.
You could also say the Jaguars won the second time and nearly won the first time. You have to agree that Jacksonville played the Colts better than any team this year, other than the Pats.
Kansas City caught Indianapolis off-guard because they had motives for revenge. If they played again in 2004, I think the Colts would have beaten them.
Minnesota played a close game with Indianapolis, but I never had a doubt in my mind that the Colts would win that game.
San Diego dominated the Colts. I forgot about that. Unfortunately for San Diego, they suffered a collosal meltdown in the fourth quarter.
I thought the Jaguars' defense was very impressive against one of the best offenses in the history of the NFL.
