Who will be this year's Carolina Panthers? Arizona, Cleveland, Cincinnatti, Detroit, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, New York Giants, Denver, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Dallas, or Miami?
I think it'll be either Houston, Cincy, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Arizona, or SF.
I already have Jacksonville in my playoff predictions.
If the 2004 San Diego "Super" Chargers were the 2003 Carolina Panthers, then sure next years Jags can be the next Carolina. If only they can beat New England.
Arizona is a good team. The just need a good owner.
Cincinnatti is third because Pitt ant Baltimore are too good. The AFC North is the toughest division in the league.
I like Detroit this year. This is Detroit's year to get back to playing in January
Giants, If they can get an O-line, they can shock a team or so.
Dallas is the Ravens of the NFC. They might get a bye but Minny is just too powerful.
Sure it's year 2 of rebuilding the 'Fins but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Jets this year.
And if San Francisco wins 5 games this year, It'll be a major accomplishment.
I also like Detroit and Dallas, but they both have questions at QB. We'll see if Drew Bledsoe and Joey Harrington finally play well this season.
I don't know about the Jets beating the Fins.
It doesn't say so in my predictions yet, but I thought about it and I think the 49ers can shock the football world by beating the Rams on opening day. They'll at least keep it close.
If the Niners do beat the Rams or keep it close, they'll show that last year was a fluke that last year was an accident. The 49ers were actually better than their record shows. They swept the Cardinals.
I see it differently. It'll prove once again that the Rams are a soft team that cannot play on grass. It'll prove once again that Mike Martz is not good at preparing his team for gameday.
If the Rams lose at SF, they'll probably start their season 0-2, because I don't think they can win at Arizona.
