Walt,

Were you surprised Texas won the NC?
Were you surprised WV beat UGA at the Sugar Bowl?
What's you biggest disappointment and surprise?
MVP?
Most Outstanding Player?
Offensive player of the year?
Defensive Player of the year?
Were you surprised My Canes got handled by LSU?
Freshman of the year?
Do you still think the BCS needs to go? I do. I want 0-4 in my BCS picks this year. As opposed to my 2-0 record? (only prediction i didn't make is Michigan vs Texas and Utah and Pitt)

Yeah, I was shocked that Texas beat USC. I still maintain that Penn State could have won the National Championship, simply because they had the best defense in the country.

Other than the National Championship, I'm not surprised by anything that happens in the bowls. All of the bowls are a farce; they mean nothing and take place a month after each team plays its last game. The system is a joke.

Are your offensive/defensive players of the year questions for the NFL or NCAA Football?

The BCS definitely needs to go. As far as I'm concerned, there were three National Champions this year (Texas, Penn State and Ohio State).

All of the questions are for the NCAA. Including the OFF/DEF POY awards. I know you're going to do the NFL's after the big game. Sans the College hoops predictions, Haven't seen a college football article.

Yeah, I'll have my annual awards right after the Super Bowl.

The offensive player of the year in college football has to be Reggie Bush. He was so lethal at every position and was the reason USC beat Fresno State late in the season. I think Pete Carroll under-utilized Bush in the Rose Bowl.

I'm trying not to be biased here, but I give Defensive Player of the Year to Paul Posluszny, linebacker for Penn State. I've talked to people who have been at this school for decades, and they all declare that Poz was better than any linebacker we've ever had, even LaVaar Arrington. Penn State had the best defense in the country, and Poz was a huge reason for that. The award could also be given to A.J. Hawk or DeMeco Ryans.
