Yeah, they are pathetic. It's a down year for ACC powerhouses Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. I didn't see that coming.

Speaking of blowing leads, how about Miami? I took the Hurricanes +8 on Thursday. They were beating Boston College 33-25, when suddenly the score was 47-34. The Eagles went on a 22-1 run.

Yeah, but nobody would've thought that the Vols would be as good as they are right now.

Can anyone stop Lofton?

Lofton is an incredible shooter. But, Alabama beat the Vols on Saturday. To tell you the truth, I'm not in love with any SEC teams this year.

But then again, you were never in love with any SEC team, especially if they are playing a conference game on the road and definitely in the NCAA's.

You called Florida the "Cottonelle Gators" throughout the 2003-04 season and the arly parts of the 2004-05 season because they can't beat Kentucky, and they usually choke in the NCAA's.

It's very tough for an SEC team to beat another on the road. Heck, Auburn kept the LSU game interesting at home and Tennessee just lost to Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

It's pretty tough to say whether SEC teams have a lethal home-court advantage, or they're just soft and can't win on the road. You can look at the numbers and almost every SEC team bows out in the first two rounds of the tournament, including Kentucky and Florida.

SEC basketball teams in the NCAA Tournament = Denver Broncos in recent years.

They both usually choke out of their respective NCAA tournament, and the NFL playoffs.

Duke is taking quite a scare at Georgia Tech, who got blown out by Florida State on February 9th!

I'm surprised Duke has only 1 loss! They look like a 7 loss team now!

That's a good comparison between the SEC and Broncos...

Duke finally pulled away. They've had some close calls on the road against some questionable teams like GT and Boston College. I still argue that they don't have the point guard to win the whole thing.

Agree. In order to succeed in the NCAA, you need great guard play, rebounding, to have good players everywhere and not just one star and a bunch of mediocre role players, and to play great defense, and team basketball.

And history has shown that a team who deserves to be at a high seed, gets screwed and gets a lower seed in Selection Sunday, can make a handful uf upsets in the NCAA. (Bucknell vs Kansas, and Vermont and Syracuse, both at last years tourney.)
