I got a chuckle out of the Pistons 20-1 bet quality being "none." Of course, there was no way of anticipating they would get Rasheed Wallace. Just goes to show how things can turn around with one move...
Without Rasheed Wallace 1. Pistons might not have even beat the Bucks. 2. The Nets would win in 5 games. 3. The Pacers would have swept them. 4. The Lakers would have swept winning each game by at least 15 points. But, The Lakers should have beat the Pistons even if they have Rasheed Wallace. The Lakers gave up. I feel for Karl Malone because he is the only team player, and he is the only one that is truly screwed. I am a Lakers fan, and there is no excuse for Kobe Bryant being 2-14 on Field Goals and having 8 points in a game. Kobe could score 30 points on any team if he wanted to. I don't care how good the Defense is. And if you ask me, I think the Pistons defense is not all that it is cracked up to be. Where was this great Defense against the Nets? The Nets scored like they normally did against the Pistons. The "Greatest Basketball Defense ever" only showed up against the Lakers and Pacers who in my oppinion both only played to half of their ability against the Pistons. It was NOT the Pistons good defense it was the Lakers and Pacers not playing at their full ability on Offense. The Pistons are a fraud, a fraud who will be exposed when they are knocked out in the first round next year (if they even make the Playoffs). They are a team that was good enough this year to reach the Eastern Finals, but was lucky that their next two opponents did not play to their full potential.
