How far will they go this season? I think that they will go to the Tournament again but I dont think they will make it past the first weekend this year.

I'd also like to know how you think my Red Raiders are going to fare this year after a terrible 2005-06.

In a 65-team NCAA Tournament, George Mason won't get in. Their top three scorers -- Jai Lewis, Tony Skinn and Lamar Butler -- are all gone. They might qualify for the tournament in 07-08 when Will Thomas and Folarin Campbell are both seniors, and some of their recruits are sophomores.

As for Texas Tech, the team will definitely be in the NCAA Tournament, and could even make a push into the Sweet 16. None of their players, including Jarrius Jackson or Martin Zeno, graduated, so Bobby Knight will be coaching an experienced bunch in 06-07.

I like what Im hearing from you, Walt. What I dont get is that Joe Lunardi, that guy that does the bracketology predictions for ESPN, predicted Tech to be in the tournament before the season started last season and he isn't predicting them to be in this season. Thats just odd.

I am liking TT's chances this year. Martin Zeno is a great swingman junior

Yeah, I love Texas Tech. Im happy that there is a fellow Tech fan here, you don't see many of them, even here in Texas. Really I started my passion for them when they picked up Bobby Knight. I thought that it was terrible the way Indiana stabbed him in the back and I was hoping that a major conference school would take him in because he deserves to be the winningest basketball coach in NCAA history. Although I love Tech, it is a shame that he wont become the winningest coach as head coach of the Hoosiers.

I like Texas Tech in basketball but Notre Dame is my favorite football team. Its kind of odd but I don't even root for Texas Tech in football. I think their head coach is a weasel for scheduling Division 1AA squads and then scoring 80 points on them. Actually, overall Notre Dame is my favorite college team and Texas Tech is a close second. I cried when Notre Dame lost to USC and I cried when Texas Tech lost to West Virginia in the Sweet Sixteen a couple years ago. I root for Notre Dame in basketball but Tech is my favorite basketball team.

I like random teams. I was really in to sports when I was little, and I guess I just picked team names that I liked, but then I became fans. My basketball team is the Blazers, my football team is the panthers, my baseball team is the Indians, my NFL team is the Senators, my favorite college football team is Texas Tech, and my favorite college basketball team is Xavier. Pretty random group, huh?

I chose my favorite teams based on their personality. I like the Cowboys, for one because Im here in Dallas, and for two because they are the NFL's premiere franchise. My other teams are kind of similar except for the Red Sox and Red Raiders, I like the BoSox because theyre not the Yankees and I like Texas Tech because of Bob Knight.
