Like I said in my other post, I think the Yankees make a trade or two, and catch the White Sox in the wild-card hunt.
I also think St. Louis will hang on to the NL Central. Why do you think the Reds will win it?
I agree that the Dodgers and Angels win the two wests. My friend is actually betting a good sum of money on 22:1 odds that the Angels win the World Series. Not a bad bet. I might take it as well.
By the way, how hot is Atlanta? They should be able to sweep the pathetic Phillies.
I don't think the Yankees are going to catch the ChiSox. The champs are pretty comparable on offense and they have much better pitching than the Yankees.
Heres why I think the Reds are better than their other 3 compeitiors
Houston- The Astros are an erratic team and they have a tougher schedule down the stretch than the Reds.
St. Louis- The Cardinals are old and since last years' NLCS they haven't been playing up to their potential.
Milwaukee- The Brewers are a solid squad but I don't think they are ready to claim the Central yet.
I told you the Braves were going to get on a streak and make the Mets sweat. This is what they usually do. Start out okay in April and May, be terrible in June and early July and be red hot throughout the rest of the season. Usually that is good enough to win them the division but this year New York may have built themselves an insurmountable lead.
I can't believe that the odds are against the Angels like that. I would put it at more like 10:1.
I agree that the Braves will sweep the Phillies. After that I think that they will sweep the Marlins as well and go into a home series with the Mets on a hot streak. That series will decide whether or not the Braves are for real. If they take the series, which I think they will, then the Mets better look out or Atlanta will be opening the champagne for the 15th consecutive year.
Yeah, you were definitely right about the Braves. Good call.
It doesn't look like St. Louis has been playing up to its potential, but keep in mind that Albert Pujols was out for a large portion of the season. Now that he's back, I think the Cardinals will coast to an easy division crown.
