Yeah, I don't see the Rams winning at Qwest Field. That game meant everything to St. Louis, which was why the Seahawks seemed shellshocked in the first quarter. Things reverted back to "normal" once Seattle woke up.
But Seattle shouldn't have won. I think the Rams make up for it in the next meeting. After looking at all the Super Bowl losers of recent years I dont find any reason to believe that the Seahawks are any more special than the Giants, Rams, Raiders, Panthers or Eagles.

explain to me why they "shouldn't" have won? is that your reasoning? because they just "shouldn't" have? coming back down 21-7 against ur rival, away from home, in a must win for the other team is pretty impressive. The Rams shouldnt even have had a second chance after Maurice Morris fumbled in the redzone. So dont give me this bull how they shouldn't have won, just because they proved they are still a power house in the NFC.
They were last year and in 2003 but this isn't the same team. They don't have Shaun Alexander right now and even when he comes back, he'll be banged up. Seahawks miss out on the playoffs.

i want to know your reasons of them not being the same team. Alexander will be back in 2 weeks, there schedule only gets easier(2 games against the 49ers...6 more home games), they actually have a above average defense this season(we had one last season as well), and to top it all off, they are 4-1 winning the divsion, better than last season. Last season they were 2-2, coming off a tough loss to washington. They beat the Rams in St.Louis, and that started a huge winning streak. If history repeats itself, thats all Seattle needed this year to light a spark on there team.
seattles schedule:
vs Minnesota- W
@ Kansas City- W/L
vs Oakland- W
vs St. Louis- W
@ San Francisco- W
vs Green Bay- W
@ Denver- L
@ Arizona- W/L
vs San Francisco- W
vs San Diego- L
@ Tampa Bay- W
throw in the fact that seattle barely loses at home...its looking like a 11-13, surely enough to win the easy NFC West.
St.Louis:
@ San Diego- L
vs Kansas City- W/L
@ Seattle- L
@ Carolina- L
vs San Francisco- W
vs Arizona- W
vs Chicago- L
@ Oakland- W
vs Washington- W
@ Minnesota- L
Throw in the fact the Rams blow on the road, its looking like a 9-10 win season.
I don't think Seattle expected the Rams to give them a battle. The Seahawks should be able to win the NFC West, barring any major injuries. Besides, Shaun Alexander will be back in a few weeks.
Shaun Alexander carries the load for you guys and even once he does come back he'll be banged up. Although I must admit that Matt Hasselbeck has done better without Alexander than I figured he would, he can't keep it up forever. Add in the Steve Hutchinson loss this off-season and there's no way that yall are going to be as good as you were last year. Here's what I have you doing...
vs Minnesota: W 5-1 @ Kansas City: L 5-2 vs Oakland: W 6-2 vs St. Louis: L 6-3 @ San Francisco: L 6-4 vs Green Bay: W 7-4 @ Denver: L 7-5 @ Arizona: L 7-6 vs San Francisco: W 8-6 vs San Diego: L 8-7 @ Tampa Bay: L 8-8
I don't see anything in Seattle to make me think that they'll be different from the Giants, Rams, Raiders, Panthers, or Eagles.
Here's what I have St. Louis doing.
@ San Diego: L 4-3 vs Kansas City: W 5-3 @ Seattle: W 6-3 @ Carolina: L 6-4 vs Arizona: W 7-4 vs San Francisco: W 8-4 vs Chicago: L 8-5 @ Oakland: W 9-5 vs Washington: W 10-5 @ Minnesota: W 11-5
I dont know who Arizona will hire as their next head coach. There aren't many quality free agent coaches out there. Mike Martz? Mike Tice? Lets just hope that the Cardinals don't follow in Green Bay's footsteps and go after another 49ers assistant coach. Maybe Steve Mariucci but I wouldn't take that job if I was Mooch. He could probably do better.
1. Chicago (6-0) - The Bears had to scratch their heads when they saw that the Cardinals lost to Oakland after giving them all they had.
2. Indianapolis (6-0) - I maintain that the Colts will not WIN the Super Bowl but they may get there. The Colts' big win over Washington proved to mea that they're the class of the AFC at the current time.
3. New England (5-1) - Looks like we might get another Colts/Patriots game in the playoffs but this time the Pats will have to play on the Colts' home carpet.
4. Denver (5-1) - The Broncos need to find some offense eventually if they're going to make it as far this year as they did last.
5. New Orleans (5-1) - The Saints have to keep on winning if they're going to claim the NFC South title. Although they stumbled this week, the Panthers are going to be really tough to beat down the stretch and the Falcons redeemed themselves this week. Meanwhile, the resurgence of Tampa Bay continues.
6. NY Giants (4-2) - New York is 3-0 against the NFC East and 1-2 against everybody else. If only every game was against their division rivals.
7. San Diego (4-2) - The Chargers stumbled this week but it's hard to win in Arrowhead Stadium. I still like them to beat out the one-dimensional Broncos for the division title.
8. Minnesota (4-2) - Walt wrote a Top Story about the Saints mood swings but I think the Vikings are the more touchy team. After looking pretty bad the last 3 weeks the Vikes dominated defending conference champ Seattle in their building.
9. Cincinnati (4-2) - Another horribly called game by the Cincinnati offensive staff. They need to make a change as soon as possible.
10. Carolina (4-3) - Who would have thought before the season that both the Panthers and Cowboys would go into this coming Sunday Night game with 3 losses already.
11. Baltimore (4-2) - The Ravens have not made it easy on themselves. They've lost 2 straight and they're going in to play the Saints in New Orleans.
12. Philadelphia (4-3) - Their game against Jacksonville will tell us which of the two teams will make the playoffs and which will likely miss out.
13. Atlanta (4-2) - Although Im not impressed by giving up 38 points to the offense-less Steelers, I am impressed by Mike Vick's performance in the game. Must have been a fluke.
14. Jacksonville (3-3) - That loss might have taken the Jaguars out of the playoffs and put the Ravens or Jets in.
15. Seattle (4-2) - The Seahawks are done. Matt Hasselbeck's out for a while, Shaun Alexander is banged up, the team just lost a home game after winning a big game in St. Louis. It's all starting to unravel just like it did for the Giants, Rams, Raiders, Panthers and Eagles before them.
16. St. Louis (4-2) - With the injury to Matt Hasselbeck, St. Louis is almost sure to win the West now.
17. Dallas (3-3) - It looks pretty bad right now but we're going to do nothing but get better. Once our defense gels and Romo finds his form, we'll be a tough team to beat.
18. NY Jets (4-3) - The Jets have to stop giving up leads but they are winning and if the season ended today they'd be just a half game out of the playoffs.
19. Pittburgh (2-4) - Valiant effort by the Steelers but they're just not a very good football team. 9-7 at best for this football team.
20. Kansas City (3-3) - If the Chiefs hadn't given up last week before the shoe even touched the leather they may have beaten the champs and they could be 4-2 right now.
21. Tampa Bay (2-4) - It's amazing what two weeks can do for you. Tampa is right in the thick of things in the NFC.
22. Washington (2-5) - The Redskins are done. In fact, they may not even win another game this season. They've got us at home, Philly and Tampa on the road, the Panthers, Faclons, and Eagles at home, Saints and Rams on the road, and Giants at home. That's murderer's row.
23. Houston (2-4) - Why can't Jacksonville beat Houston? The Texans have a winning record all-time against the Jags.
24. Green Bay (2-4) - Green Bay doesn't have much problems beating the slums of the NFL they just can't hang with the big dogs.
25. San Francisco (2-4) - With Seattle's demise the 49ers might finish in second place in the NFC West.
26. Buffalo (2-5) - The Bills are finally the same old Bills.
27. Tennessee (1-5) - Lets see if the Titans' recent good play was a fluke or if they're really better than we thought they were.
28. Cleveland (1-5) - Take back what I said last week. Cleveland has absolutely no chance this year.
29. Detroit (1-6) - The Lions are close every week but they can't finish.
30. Oakland (1-5) - The Raiders won? Is this a dream?
31. Arizona (1-6) - The Cardinals are the Cubs of football Im convinced.
32. Miami (1-6) - SI's preseason Super Bowl pick is now the worst team in the NFL.
I'm not sure if the Seahawks are done. They might have Hasselbeck and Alexander back in a month. If they can go 2-2 in those four games, they're still good.
Houston-Jacksonville: I once watched a David Carr interview, and someone asked him who his team's greatest rival was. He said "without a doubt, Jacksonville." I'm not sure why, but the Texans hate the Jaguars, and always bring their A-game against them.
The 49ers are not finishing ahead of Seattle.
I still can't believe SI picked the Dolphins to go to the Super Bowl.
Vermeil coming back again? Doesn't he ever get tired?
Seahawks are done. The only game they'll win without their stars will be home against Oakland and when their stars do come back, they'll be banged up and they'll have an pretty tough schedule.
Yeah, the Vermeil rumor is bizarre. I hope he comes back though... he's one of my favorite coaches.
I think it depends on how soon Matt Hasselbeck returns. I think they can beat Kansas City and Oakland. If he comes back in four weeks, and they've gone 2-2, they'll be fine.

lol saying a team is done at 4-2 is just plain stupidity. oo but the cowboys will "only get better?" i hope you enjoyed that ass wooping momday night because there is more to come, no matter who is playing quarterback. face it, you will never be good with "the statue" drew bledsoe under center, or career back up tony romo
oo yea, nice 4th down catch by terrell owens. he sure is clutch
It looks like Damon Huard is out for the Chiefs, meaning the QB battle in Kansas City will be between Seneca Wallace and Brodie Croyle.
I found this info out late last night and placed a bet on Seahawks -6½ before bodog could change the line. I'm thinking they move the Chiefs to -3. I don't think Croyle is that good.
You're right, we will never get better with Bledsoe but you don't have any credence behind saying we'll never get better with Romo. Romo's been a "career backup" because he's only been in the league for a couple years and he was still learning our offense. I think its pretty understandable why he's been a backup.

The TO drop was disgusting, what's your point?
you just proved my point. your so called "play maker" couldnt even catch an east 1st down catch to somewhat put you back in the game. the only reason romo has looked good is the fact that he picked apart 2nd string defenses in pre-season.
TO's human. He misses some catches that he could make. He just had an off night on Monday.
Actually, the reason that the big fuss was made about Romo in the preseason was because he played well against the defending NFC champion Seahawks' STARTING defense.

Say it with me............... 35-14! How can you possibly defend your argument that he won't be a good QB after that game yesterday. Did you not watch the game?
1. Chicago (7-0) - How do you outscore a team 41-0 in single half.
2. Indianapolis (7-0) - I cant wait for the Colts and Patriots this week. This could tell us already who's going to Miami.
3. New England (6-1) - I thought New England would beat Minnesota but I dont think anyone saw it being a blowout.
4. NY Giants (5-2) - That was a trap game for the Giants so I was impressed how good they were.
5. Denver (5-2) - When the Broncos defense plays well, their offense has trouble getting into the double digits in scoring. When their offense plays well, they give up 34 points. It was against Indianapolis though.
6. San Diego (5-2) - With the way the Chargers' defense usually plays, if they keep putting up 38 and 41 points they're going to be awfully hard to beat.
7. Atlanta (5-2) - Guess Michael Vick really has turned it around.
8. Baltimore (5-2) - Why hasn't Brian Billick always called the plays for Baltimore?
9. New Orleans (5-2) - How did New Orleans get blown out by the Ravens at home? Im convinced that the Saints will always be the Saints.
10. Dallas (4-3) - I dont see us losing another game.
11. Cincinnati (4-3) - The Bengals are really struggling this year. I saw this coming if Carson Palmer was still injured but he's not and they're still having problems. Tough game with Baltimore this week could tell us alot about the AFC North.
12. Jacksonville (4-3) - The Jaguars are still alive- for now. I still dont think they'll make the playoffs.
13. Kansas City (4-3) - The Chiefs are back. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the playoffs.
14. Seattle (4-3) - The Seahawks put up more of a fight than I thought they did but I still dont think that they're going to make the playoffs. They look just like last year's Eagles.
15. Carolina (4-4) - That's the kind of loss that kills seasons.
16. St. Louis (4-3) - The battle of Missouri next week may tell us which team will represent the state in the playoffs.
17. Minnesota (4-3) - Again, I was surprised by how badly the Patriots beat down the Vikings.
18. Philadelphia (4-4) - The Eagles are now officialy dead.
19. NY Jets (4-4) - That game with Cleveland was really fishy. I still think the Jets have a shot at the playoffs.
20. Green Bay (3-4) - With a win in Buffalo next week the Packers could be .500 at the midway point. I never saw that coming.
21. Tampa Bay (2-5) - The game with New Orleans this week will make or break the Bucs' season.
22. Washington (2-5) - After losing to us this week the Redskins will be starting at 2-6 and have absolutely no shot at the playoffs.
23. Pittsburgh (2-5) - Im not positive on this one but I think the Steelers have started worse than any other defending champion in Super Bowl history.
24. Tennessee (2-5) - I was very surprised by the effort of both teams in the Houston-Tennessee game. That actually looked like a game between two good teams.
25. Cleveland (2-5) - The Browns finally won if you count that as an actual victory.
26. Houston (2-5) - I dont really understand why David Carr was benched against Tennessee. He was 15-of-21 for 113 yards.
27. San Francisco (2-5) - The Niners were dominated as badly by the Bears as Ive ever seen a team be dominated.
28. Buffalo (2-5) - The Bills have the Packers this week so they have a chance to turn their momentum back around.
29. Oakland (2-5) - The Raiders have won two in a row?! Pigs are flying and Hell just froze over.
30. Detroit (1-6) - The Falcons better watch out because the Lions will be looking for revenge after last year's Thanksgiving debacle.
31. Arizona (1-7) - The Cardinals are so bad that they lost by 17 points to a former 49ers assistant.
32. Miami (1-6) - Both the Cardinals are Dolphins were supposed to make the playoffs this year and they look like the two worst teams in the NFL.
Joey wrote: Say it with me............... 35-14! How can you possibly defend your argument that he won't be a good QB after that game yesterday. Did you not watch the game?
its great that he won his first game, but if you possibly think the highly overrated/inconsistent dallas cowboys will win/go to the super bowl with tony romo you are highly mistaken. dont say "but tom brady did it"....thats a once in a lifetime chance.
Seneca Wallace had a great game sunday as well...its not gonna make me claim they are going to the superbowl.
We can't judge anything on one game, so let's see how Romo plays against the Redskins, Cardinals and Colts. If he continues to be outstanding, then we can start talking about the Cowboys doing something great.
By the way, I wouldn't give up on the Panthers just yet.
I dont think the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl, I think they have a chance to go but I dont see them actually donig it. I think they lose to the Bears in the NFC Championship game.
I would never say "well Tom Brady did" in fact I dismiss fellow Cowboys fans when they say that because I agree that that's one of those things in NFL lore that happened once won't happen again for a very long time.
Difference between the Cowboys and Seahawks being the Seahawks lost to a mediocre Kansas City team in Seneca Wallace's start and he's not their quarterback of the future, he's just filling in for Matt Hasselbeck while the Cowboys blew out a very talented Carolina squad picked by most to go to the Super Bowl.
