How bout' them Irish! Notre Dame might be going to the National Championship after all! We may need some luck though. We would need some teams to lose but I think we just might do it. What say you, Walt? Personally I think we win out.

That said, I don't think a National Championship game is probable. There are too many other candidates out there. Remember, Texas is still ahead of you guys in the one-loss column.
Do you really think that Colt McCoy can lead a team to an unblemished record in Big 12 play though? We'll need a few teams to lose but I think that will probably work out for us.

And this is supposed to be a football conference. Its odd how its going to be a much stronger basketball conference this year rather than a football conference.
The recent downfall of Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas State has contributed to the conference's struggles. They always had a lot of bad teams in it anyway, like Kansas, Texas A&M (post Bear Bryant), Baylor and Iowa State.
Forget the Big 12 North, I think TCU would win the Big 12 South if they were in the conference. Texas is the only good team in the conference and they are very flawed.
