This is not the type of divisional analysis walt does, this is like my season preview. I did post my stuff on the topic, Superbowl picks but now with everyone trading around, this is my final picks unless something else, drastic happens.
NFC East
1. Dallas 14-2, 2. Philadelphia 11-5, 3. Washington 11-5, 4. New York 9-7
NFC North
1. Green Bay 10-6, 2. Detroit 10-6, 3. Minnesota 7-9, 4. Chicago 3-13
NFC South
1. Carolina 15-1, 2. Atlanta 8-8, 3. Tampa Bay 4-12, 4. New Orleans 4-12
NFC West
1. Seattle 12-4, 2. St. Louis 9-7, 3. Arizona 7-9, 4. San Francisco 2-14
AFC East
1. New England 13-3, 2. New York 9-7, 3. Buffalo, 4. Miami 5-11
In today's NFL anything could happen. If I had to argue one thing there, it would be the 15-1 Carolina Panthers. I wrote an article about Super Bowl losers:
Goodbye Superbowl. Dallas wont make it past the 1st round. Redskins 38, Cowboys 21
Eagles @ Packers
The Eagles own the Packers. Too bad, Brett Favre wont win the SB in what I believe to be his final season. Eagles 21, Packers 13
Texans @ Ravens
The Ravens Defense is too good for Houston's Offense. Call me a flip flopper like Jay Mariotti but Ive changed my mind. Ravens 28, Texans 13
Jets @ Chiefs
I see an upset. Chad Pennington will destroy KC's D while KC's O will struggle. Jets 16, Chiefs 12
Divisional Round
Jets @ Patriots
I agree with Walt. The Jets will have their shot at New England next year. But this year they dont stand much of a chance. Patriots 29, Jets 23
Ravens @ Colts
Usually the good Defense stops the Good Offense, but I just think that the Colts can beat Baltimore this year. After all, Kansas City beat them last year. Colts 49, Ravens 46 (Over Time)
Redskins @ Seahawks
Joe Gibbs will get another ring before the end of his 2nd era, but I dont see him being able to knock out a very good Home team in Seattle. Seahawks 24, Redskins 17
Eagles @ Panthers
Everyone in Philly thinks that Owens is the missing piece. Are they right, can TO bring the Lombardi trophy to Philly for the 1st time! No and No. Panthers 28, Eagles 3
Conference Championship
Seahawks @ Panthers
I still see Carolina losing, it will be a repeat of the 1998 Vikings. In my Simulation I had @ Seattle penciled in as Carolina's only loss. I say that they will now get swept by them. Seahawks 28, Panthers 13. Seahawks to the Superbowl.
Colts @ Patriots
I changed my mind again, after watching the AFC Championship last year, Ive realized that Indy has not improved itself enough to beat New England. I say the Pats beat Manning again. 38-34
Super Bowl
Seahawks v.s Patriots
I know after I say this everyone will whine and say "noone repeats in today's nfl. Well, John Elway did it 5 years ago. I say this time the Patriots wont let their gaurd down. Patriots 14, Seahawks 0. In the 1st shutout Super Bowl, and a great Defensive struggle.
