I think everyone knew that Philadelphia would come back to dominate the game in the second half. The Eagles were clearly looking ahead to next week against us.
Im kind of concerned that we're going to have a "Malice at the Palace" situation again. No offense to you Walt, but the people in your city should all be placed in an institution. ITS JUST FOOTBALL! And this is coming from a Texan.
C'mon, don't say they should all be placed in an institution. Are there crazy people here? Definitely. But most of the fans will simply just boo T.O. The added security is for that 2% who are completely insane.
Well Im pleasantly surprised that there were no battery throwings or anything of the sort.
Well Walt, you were right about the Cowboys losing but it really wasn't because of the Eagles playing really good its because we have a quarterback that is well past his prime. Parcells called another horrible game offensively as well. If he doesn't start Tony Romo next week then Im convinced he lets personal relationships get in the way of business. Overall assessment, we're still better than them and we're going to go farther than them but Im begginning to doubt that in an NFC championship game situation we could hold our own against Chicago with the current quarterback.
I didnt take that from the game, in fact Troy Aikman and Joe Buck even said that the crowd was kind of quiet in the first half. Im just glad that nothing violent happened. I was really concerned about that.
By the way, Troy Aikman is a horrible announcer. He's so afraid of being called pro-Cowboy that he's actually blantantly anti-Cowboy. All he really does is state the obvious anyway. Fox should have kept Cris Collinsworth.
I think Boomer described the game best on the Blitz when he said that it was Round 1 of a heavyweight fight for the NFC East. Just from watching that sloppy Giants/Skins game I would say that there's no doubt that its coming down to these two teams for the NFC East.
Well I actually have the Redskins making the playoffs, I just mean that I dont think they have much of a shot of winning the East over Philly or us.
Through the majority of the 1st quarter Troy didn't say one good thing about the Cowboys. You'd think he played for Washington, San Fran, or the Eagles.
I didn't notice that. But to be honest, I don't listen to the announcers much unless I'm completely focused on one game. During the Eagles/Cowboys contest, I was also following Jaguars-Jets, 49ers-Raiders and Chiefs-Cardinals.
