Portland Blazers!

Great win last night against Nates old team! Brandon Roy played great for this first career start, dropping 20, 10-16 shooting! I feel comfortable with Jack starting PG. I really played well late in the season when othing mattered. Randolph was a monster, had 30 points and 10 rebounds!

If you ask me, I think the Blazers have one of the best benches in the NBA. Think about it, our 5 starters last night were Ime Udoka (was a suprise for me), Zach Randolph, Joel Pryzbilla, Bradon Roy, and Jarrett Jack. That leaves Raef LaFrentz, Jamaal Magloire, Juan Dixon, Travis Outlaw, Martell Webster, and don't forget LaMarcus Aldridge and Darius Miles (I hope gets traded soon) who are recovering from injuries.

I don't think we will be great, but we are def. better and I can see us taking atleast 30 games this year. What do you think?

I was surprised that the Blazers won but I still think that they're going to end up as one of the worst teams in the NBA this season.

What do you think about my Lakers? I can't believe that we're winning this way without Kobe. Without him I figured that we would be 0-2 right now but instead we're 2-0. Do you have us advancing far?

And I agree, they will finish last in their division, and probably 15th in the conference. I'm biased so I saw upper 20's to lower 30's in the win column. Most experts say around 24. I'm just surprised that we didn't dump Darius Miles and Zach Randolph. I hope we can land Greg Oden! That would be awesome!

I see the Lakers finishing 3rd the their division, and 7th in the conference. They are weak at PG, Smush Parker played horrible against the Suns. I'd expect a lot more playing time for Farmar. I'd look out for Kwame Brown, I think he could have a break out season. I think Vladimir Radmanovic will be a bust.

You and I basically agree. I have us finishing 3rd in the division and sixth in the conference. I think in the playoffs we'll end up going to the Western Conference Finals and losing to Dallas.

Smush Parker is really inconsistent. Some times he's great and some times he's horrible. Im not really confident Kwame Brown, considering the way he chokes, but I actually like Radmanovic.

I think 25 wins for Portland, 47 for the Lakers.

Kwame really came alive towards the end of the season.  The thing with Radmanovic is that he is a great 3-point shooter, but at the end of the season, that's all he's done.

I want to say 27 wins for Portland and hmmmmmm... I say around 45 for the Lakers.  They need to step up there defense.

The Blazers just lost to the Warriors 102-89, but I'm happy. I felt like the Blazers really played hard threw out the entire game. It got a little sloppy there for a little while in the 3rd and 4th, but I still think we did a good job. One thing I noticed, is the Blazers lack consistenty, we had the lead in the first, but we couldn't keep up our streaks, also, the Blazers need to get on more streaks, they had one good one all game.

I think Zach Randolph played good dropping 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jarrett Jack continues to impress with his PG play, 12 points 10 assists. He needs to work on his ball control, he turned it over too many times. Brandon Roy looks like the real deal, he had 19. I love Martell Webster, his 3 game is so nice!

Next Game: Minnesota Timberwolves (2-0)

Good vicory for us over the Timberwolves who hadn't lost a game. Good way to open your home opener! In the 1st it was 30-14 Timberwolves up, and my exact quote was "What the **** is going on!?" Travis Outlaw was hardcore! 9-17 shooting, and what SF out rebounds KG? Not but 2 rebounds, but by 5! Travis Outlaw! Webster continues to stroke 3's he was 4-5! Randolph, Roy, and Dixon also had good games. But, Travis Outlaw gets player of the game!

Next Game: Los Angeles Clippers (2-1)

Big win by the Blazers tonight. I caught the end after watching the Oklahoma-Texas A&M game. Brandon Roy looks good.

I picked the Blazers over the Wolves. Had a feeling they'd pull through.

Bradon Roy is hurt! I'm not to worried about it. I'm confident in Juan Dixon and Martell Webster to fill the gap. Joey, your Lakers better be ready for a showdown!!

From what he has said he doudts he is going to play against the Lakers on Wed. I'm hoping it just for a few games. He played 14 minutes against the Clippers when he hurt his heel.

Aldridge is suppose to be back in December. I cannot wait to see what he is all about. I think he gets off to a slow start just because Udoka and Randolph are playing good.

Magloire is a bum! All he seems to do is cause fouls and and turnovers!

Yeah, I was never a big fan of Maglore's. I have no idea why teams overpaid him.

I'm also turning this into a NBA rumor thread.  Walter, what do you think about Larry Brown may coach the Bobcats next year?  I think it would be a good decision, however, it has its pros and cons.  I like Bernie Bickerstaff (however you spell it), and I like what he has done with the Bobcats.  They are slowly but surely getting better and better each year.  They should have a bright future with Okafor, Felton, May, and Morrison.

I don't know if that's a good fit. Larry Brown will only stick around for 2-3 years, tops.

Can he get them deep into the playoffs by then? I don't think so.

Yeah, Larry doesn't seem to stick with one team for long.  And I like Bernie and I think the Bobcats should stick with him.

Speaking of coaching changes, the Celtics may fire Doc Rivers anytime now.  I disagree with the Celtics wanting to fire him, especially since the season just began!  This team has a lot of problems, and I don't see how a lot of these experts predicted them to get into the playoffs.  Wally Szczerbiak has knee problems aswell as Theo Ratliff, Al Jefferson has ankle problems and now has an appendectomy and may be out for up to 6 weeks, Kendrick Perkins has shoulder problems, and Delonte West (who there not even playing!) has back problems.

What do you think Walter?

The Celtics do have a lot of problems, and you're right, it's early in the season.

But do you think Doc Rivers is the right coach for the future of this organization? I don't think he's that good of a coach, and I liked him better in the booth.

If you're going to fire him, do it at the end of the season. This team is young, and it has a lot of potential. If these young guys they have can mature, then I think they will be ok. By the way, I was Anonymous.

Did you see the Portland Blazer game against the Hornets!? It was 38-13 at the end of the first! At the beginning of the season, I said that the Blazers should trade Miles and Randolph. Now I say trade Miles (who is having knee surgery) and keep Randolph! Travis Outlaw had 6 blocks!

Brandon Roy started the game, but only played 7 minutes before hurting his heel again. He will be fitted for an orthopedic boot for the next 7 to 14 days. So we'll see.

On a positive note, LaMarcus Aldridge was active! He could make his debut against the Mavs when we play them on sunday. And Miles will be out for a while with that knee surgery! YES!

I don't get Blazers games on TV, so let me know how Aldridge looks

Well, we lost to the Mavs, but Aldridge had a good game. He only played for about 18 or 19 minutes, but he was 5-9 shooting 10 points, and 8 rebounds, 6 of which were offensive rebounds, so I am happy with his performance.

Walter, did you see Isiah Thomas and Bruce Bowen go at it? I thought it was hilarious. I guess if you're Thomas, you have to yell at somebody, since you're stressed out, and ruined a franchise. I can't believe they won't be fined.

That sounds like a good game from Aldridge. He'll be a star.

Isiah is a scumbag. Did you hear what he said about Bill Simmons (columnist on ESPN.com?) If you didn't, I'll give you Isiah's quote. He's a loser.
