I don't think the Colts will sweep the Titans because their first game against them (Week 2 at Tennessee) sets up very poorly in Indy's favor. Here's why:

If the Patriots beat the Colts in week 1, Indy will be so down because that game is the most important game of the season for them. Remember how the Eagles lost to the Bucs last year in Week 1, and then they got blown out by the Patriots and started 1-3? I think the same will happen to the Colts if they lose to New England.

If the Colts beat the Patriots in week 1, Indy will be on such a high that they won, that they might not prepare well for their clash against the Titans, who are infuriated after being swept by the Colts in 2003.

Either way, I think Tennessee gets revenge in week 2. If I'm right, the Colts will start out 0-2 and will be in a huge hole, in a very tough division. That's why I have them finishing with a poor record.

Well, I think they lose a close one to New England. Still depressed, I think they get destroyed by vengeful Tennessee. After that, they catch a break with Green Bay at home. Everyone knows that Brett Favre can't play in domes, so that blow out could get them going. Unfortunately, they go into Jacksonville where the Jags always play them tough. They'll shut down Indy's run and defeat them like they did last year. They play Oakland at home and that's an easy win. Bye week. 2-3.

They get revenge against Jacksonville at home, but then they go into KC where the Chiefs are looking for revenge of their own. They get it. 3-4. They beat Minnesota at home, Houston at home (close game), @ Chicago (another close one). 6-4.

After that, I think they get blown out at Detroit because they have the Titans the following week. They get revenge against Tennessee. 7-5. Coming off that high, they lose to the Texans at Reliant Stadium, where it is very difficult to win. I have the Ravens beating them, but I'm probably going to change that after I adjust everything. Colts beat the Ravens. 8-6.

They blow out San Diego, but then they go to Denver. It's always difficult for a dome team to win in cold climates, especially Denver where the air is thin. The Broncos also want revenge for that playoff loss. I think they get it.

Colts finish 9-7.

I think that's a very optimistic look at their schedule. Given what teams have done in the past, it'll be nearly impossible for them to beat Tennessee if they get beaten by New England. They'll be so deflated, it'll be hard for them to get angry. They just won't be able to do it. By the way, the Titans may lose at Miami because they've had that game circled on their calanders since they got swept in 2003. Indy doesn't have the Titans game circled. It doesn't mean as much to them as it does to Tennessee. They just won't be able to get up for that week 2 matchup and I think they'll lose by over 20.

Jacksonville caught them off guard last year, but if you look at their four matchups since 2002, you'll see that the Jaguars have always played them close. That's because Jacksonville can take Edgerrin James out of the game, and they defend Peyton Mannning pretty well.

Not Eagles/Giants. That will be a blowout. Out of all the games in week 1, that's the one I don't want to see. Sack. Sack. Fumble. Fumble. Sack. INT. Sack. Fumble. Sack. Fumble. Fumble. INT. Sack. Kurt Warner is starting.

I don't see a defense like Tampa Bay's getting blown out. The way you beat that defense is with a mammoth offensive line and a powerful running back up the middle. The Skins have neither, although Portis is a stud; he doesn't have the power of Deuce McAllister or Stephen Davis.
